DEFENSE INTEL 100 FOR DUMMIES: HOW TO KNOW WHEN THE "TERROR PLOT" STORY IS REAL

This may be the most important Op-Ed I ever write in terms of the premise, the context, and the potential value to the reader, should all of this go where I've been predicting it will for almost three years.

I'm therefor going to begin here by telling you how to tell whether a report on a "foiled terror plot" is real, or disinformation designed to create and maintain mass paranoia for political gain, and you can decide for yourself. When I've explained how you can know the difference, I'll go on with my actual analysis of the period we're in.

Rule #1 for interrupting criminal/terrorist conspiracy rings: If your investigation is fortunate enough to identify members of said criminal terrorist/conspiracy, and you need to make arrests because (a), you have enough evidence to convict, and (b) waiting any longer would place the public at risk, KEEP ANY ARRESTS OF SUSPECTS SILENT:

DO NOT:

Notify or speak with the media or speak to reporters.

DO: Make any necessary arrests as quietly as possible, file sealed indictments, and make certain your terrorist suspect is isolated and prevented from sending any word or signal to others still at large.

Now then, regarding the alleged plot to blow up 9 airliners using liquid explosives, what did you just see, and when.

You saw the following: You saw an internationally publicized ANNOUNCEMENT that violates every single principle of investigative and procedural rules for securing follow up arrests.

Chertoff: Not certain all plotters found

By LARRY MARGASAK, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 8 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - The well-advanced plot to blow up airliners flying from Britain to the United States had the markings of al-Qaida, and it's not yet certain that authorities have found everyone involved, the
Homeland Security secretary says.....................................

Ladies and Gentlemen: THIS "PLOT" WAS IN NO WAY "REAL". It is in fact simply a cold, calculated psychological warfare designed to fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, at a time when Bush and Cheney are looking at life in prison at best.

Do you remember President Bush's FIRST speech after September 11th? The one where he said "This will be a different kind of war" and he said "Often the public will not even hear of successes"? That was in fact the truth about what a REAL effort to track, capture, and bring terrorists to justice would have looked like: Pretty much nothing until or after the actual trials.

Now my unfortunate analysis of when we are in all of this, and what we're almost certainly going to witness before the mid-term elections:

These people, the Bush administration, are up to their necks in war crimes, crimes against humanity, torture, war profiteering, and high treason. They know it, and they know their time is very short unless they ACT. If they don't, we're talking about an administration going to down to multiple capitol offenses via a Democratic majorities soon to be power of subpoena.

We ALREADY know that Israel's attack on Lebanon was planned for more than a year in advance, and that the capture by Hezbollah of two armed Israeli soldiers was only a pretense; we know this because Hezbollah had previously captured Israeli soldiers for the purposes of prisoner exchanges with the Israelis many times, and Israel had in fact exchanged some of the many Lebanese prisoners it had been holding without charges or trial.
What then was the purpose of such a seemingly out of the blue sudden and total destruction of an entire country and it's infrastructure?

The complete destruction of South Lebanon is a strategic move by Israel to prevent what would certainly happen when the United States launches a massive all out air assault on Tehran and Syria; an immediate retaliation by Syria through Lebanon. The Israeli attack on Lebanon is the first part of what military strategists call a "pincer"; Attack the target from two sides, thereby containing it as you kill it. Israel is now free militarily to attack Syria as Bush attacks Iran. The "moves" on display right now are painfully traditional to this writer.

Israel knows what Bush intends to do and when, and if you read only a little between the lines of Bush's rhetoric regarding Iran –complete false allegations regarding nuclear intentions and Iran's existing rights under the NPT-, in the presence of the facts as they stand at this moment, you will understand what he meant when he said "I'm determined to solve the middle east problem before I leave office".

Toppling Bagdad, remaining as occupiers right next door to Iran was no accident; it was designed from a strategic perspective to create the requisite conditions for a massive apocalyptic destruction of the Islamic world. The planners were prepared to play it either way; flowering democracy, or when the dominos began falling the opposite direction, to incite the levels of chaos and mass violence only addressable by "unconventional means". Continuing to read between the lines, you should recall the statements made last year that "all options are on the table", referring of course to the use of "first strike" nuclear weapons.

One more read between the lines here: "Before I leave office". Given the political conditions in the United States at this moment, you can safely assume that from George W. Bush's perspective, that's no longer 2008; it can't be. Bush is in fact preparing to ignite what can only be called the Apocalypse, in the next 90 days. There won't be another election here; The coming war is going to result in the suspension of the Constitution. Bush has proven himself it's absolutely enemy because it has proven to be his enemy. The one person certain to survive this nightmare is George W. Bush. He has the power, and unless stopped -highly unlikely- he's already begun using it.

There you have it. It's not something anyone wants to believe, but there it is.

Why there will be change...

While I suspect Jay may be spot on with this administration's intentions, he forgets 'the world's other superpower' - the people of the world. More particularly in this case, the American people.

There are major protests planned for this weekend. These will begin to get really serious if we attack Iran. Americans may typically be a bit slow and dull, but Bush is at 33% and drifting downward. He's a little thin on political capital.

Administration concerns are obvious from the attempt to pre-emptively indemnify themselves from prosecution.

What's more, I'm way over the fear and fear mongering. I'll smile and do my best to thwart these bastards, and let my maker carry any concerns for our survival.

I hope you're right.

I would like nothing more than to be proven wrong.
