Disconnect, a TERMINAL American Disease

In a promo, Rob Kall included the following observation.

                                   Addicted to Mediocrity

I'm watching an ad for a new approach to help people quit smoking-- people who are addicted to nicotine. And it makes me think about how American voters are so, so settling for less-- that they are addicted to mediocrity, to taking what they get, not what is the best, not what is more than the  bare minimum.  I blame the media and the two parties' leadership.

He could not be more dead on....except he failed to mention that it is not only the "elected" leaders...it is US...we have seen the enemy and it is US. Disconnect is an American Disease...by the way...it is terminal if left unattended.

Host of "American Voices" radio-Wednesdays 7-8PM Eastern & Co-Host of popular "Strait & Kall"radio programming- Thursdays 8-9PM Eastern, airing on WNJC1360 in the Philadelphia Pennsylvania radio market(live internet stream www.wnjc1360.com); Frequent guest/co-host on "Voice of the Voters" radio. Most importantly, a concerned and involved American.

Lifelong reader, sometime writer with eclectic tastes and libertarian leanings. Don't hold my semi-notorious Berkeley history against me, I settled down so completely after 40 that I can barely recall my loosy-goosy self. But it sure beats going to the same party every night.

Zombies?

The pacified, meek and disorganized American is far different from how we prefer to see ourselves- "warriors of the (un)free world".   And that disconnect has been carefully programed by cynical oligarcs and their PR minions.  What can you say for the parasite that kills it's host?
