I got poisoned too..by T2s and toxic mold

I have mold poisoning and t2 toxicity and lost everything too..It's a horrible illness that affects the whole body in ways you would not believe without seeing.

I just talked with someone else tonight who said a man died from toxic mold at workplace..and another place is making people very sick where mold and mildew is in the basement of building. There are so many children being affected. many times people don't even know it's mold and toxic vapors making them so sick, because it's not always visible. People need to speak out or nothing will ever be done. It's just like when asbestos was in question..all about politics and greed..who stands to lose? Builders, the insurance agencies, like grange who is mentioned in this article. And close minded drs. need to take the time to listen..when it hits their child, then they'll pay attention.

Kim Is a friend who also has been made ill..

Kim is a friend I met unfortunately because of a mold related illness.  She has spent nights here, and I've tried to help her. Like us, she lost not only her health..but her life. My heart hurts whe I see her pain..for I've already been where she is...

My hope for her and us is that we can open the eyes and hearts of places like MCG..and also the public. She's a beautiful and very young lady who had her whole life ahead of her and can get no treatment, locally..not even a prescription, bloodwork or anything...It would seem a big a hospital and as much research as this hospital does..they would jump at the chance to just learn from our illnesses, if for no other reason..like caring about human suffering. ( I do thank the few Drs. in this area who have shown compassion)...

If I'd not found a yahoo health group called sickbuildings, I doubt I'd be here today. I had no idea how many people are suffering all over this country. But this group and KC helped me so much..and so many others who are searching for answers and support...

Again, please write to your congressman, newspapers...this is not an isolated case..no matter what anyone tells you..If you need victims, ask me where they are...

Dear Iris,

 I am so sorry that you had to endure this and hope you are feeling better, on the road to recovery, of some kind. As a teacher who became a toxic mold victim, exposed in a school starting in November, 1999 - July 2002, and again in a second school, August 2003-November 2003, I can say that there are ups and downs with improving ones health (what is left of it). Certainly, being out of the mold exposure is helpful, but challenging not to reexpose oneself, as one may become hypersensitive to building molds and chemicals of many sorts, and small amounts are very hard to avoid. Our buildings in this country (and in others like ours) are built in a manner that will often produce mold growth in the HVAC systems, and other parts of the buildings. The schools are definitely one of the worst places - they are so poorly built and poorly maintained, leaky, etc., that they sicken many thousands of teachers each year, and many more children. Most parents are unaware that the neighborhood school may make their children sick, even if their own homes don't. Once again, thank you for the beautiful, and poignant lyrics. I have to say, it brought tears to my eyes within a short while, just part way into it. The reason was, it is painful to see someone suffer needlessly, and be so ill, for something that is preventable. It is painful to hear of another person being rejected by most of the medical profession and treated with disdain, when one is really ill. It is painful to view human suffering and have that person be denied the help and compassion that we provide to others for other ailments. I have experienced all this too, as most mold victims have.

I hope a day comes, soon, when this will not be so. I hope the day is also coming when our buildings will be safe to occupy, including homes and schools. I hope the day is coming when the CDC admits there are massive problems with building molds and educates the public on how to prevent these, what to do if there is a problem, and what physicians can do to be compassionate and help the mold victims. I hope that those who lose their careers and health, their homes and belongings, can be helped like those who have been in a fire and are severely injured ... treated with respect, dignity, assistance, and generosity.

I hope that organizations like the Red Cross will help those mold victims who need it. That mold-disabled workers will receive help to pay their medical bills and their personal bills - that these will not be rendered homeless or bankrupt as so often now is the case. We must be a nation that cares about others, including those ill from mold. Public education must take place, on a large scale, to prevent and address mold problems, and to provide compassionate support.

Toxic Mold Kill ness

Hello Iris

  I commend you on your " undying " dedication to helping others understand what it is that is making them so sick. As you know, I too am suffering from toxic mold illness and I too want to tell the world. So far I have been examined by no less than 20 Dr's and not one of them will put all of my symptoms into the same basket. The dizzyness, headaches, loss of balance, loss of hearing, coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, stuffy bloody nose, overall body pain, etc,etc , all started at about the same time. Right after I moved into a rental house full of toxic mold. We lost much of our personal property and must still replace what we brought with us.

   Friends, this is a matter that reminds me very much of another situation that I am involved with. I advocate for children with autism. The government and Big Pharma have been lying to us about what causes autism. They refuse to admitt that childhood immunizatiuons are at least partly responsible even though 8 other countries have banned the use of thimerosal, the mercury based preservative used in these immunizations.

   Toxic mold is another cover up being orchestrated by the government and big business. Namely , the insurance companies. Thank God for people like you Iris, who are willing to stand up and fight for the truth. I will stand with you my Friend, and fight this terrible miscarriage of justice that is being lied about and concealed.

Bill and Susan:

I thank both of you for what you are doing with the same goals I have. I cried as I read your comments..for I do know of the deception being perpetrated on the American public. I also know the greed of Insurance Companies who would just allow someone to suffer so inhumanely and lose their belongings as well. (Grange Mutual taught me this firsthand and their game continues while there is a known toxin in this home at very deadly levels).

Sadly, many parents have no idea their children are being harmed at school. And even when a problem is found, many times they are told it's not at "high enough levels" to harm anyone.

And physicians, at least in this area..just will not take the time to listen. We know how our body feels. Most mold victims present with a myriad of symptoms because toxic mold affects the entire body - yet no 2 people are affected the same.

If only one of them had honored my cries for the proper tests when I knew something in this home was toxic to me - my illness wouldn't be this advanced. If I had cancer I'd have gotten support and respect.

This is a very real illness and I certainly hope me and Tlee can get help..but moreso, I want to prevent others from such needless suffering. As for the many victims already affected..I know how hard it is, but don't give up the battle. Join forces and help get this issue in the limelight.  I think we're close to something big...

I support your efforts with the schools, Susan. Bill, your work for autism is very important.  Anything I can do to help either of you, I'm here..as health allows..I'm happy to speak with anyone..

Passion to Educate on Toxic Mold

Iris, Susan and Bill,

     Your stories are all too familiar. I am one of the fortunate ones who has gotten my health back. Not that it isn't a constant vigilence as molds and other toxins try to gain a foothold again. The toxic mold exposure I had devastated my body with multi-systemic health problems. But then you all know about those already.

     Fortunately I connected with one of the best mold doctors in the country, Dr. Vincent Marinkovich. Between him and my extensive research to understand how toxic mold can cause such degenerative damage I was fortunate to regain my health to better than ever.

     Now I passionately pursue helping all I connect with through my site TheMoldmissionary.com. One need only send me an email to receive free access to my research and help: dandavis@themoldmissionary.com. It will always be a work in progress.

     Yes we do need to all work together more in order to become more effective in this battle to expose the HUGE problem of Toxic Mold throughout our environments, both inside and outside.

The 'Domestic Violence Project' I wish to instigate would go a long way in proving the significant of the mycotoxic damage to the brain and nervous system.

Iris, I had just been talking with Marice, and find some of your comments to her misleading.  One being, when she mentioned the discrepincies about your stories to you, you had denied two teeth falling out and said only one, i think you should therefore re-read the comment below when you were more or less attacking me about having health insurance and being able to seek medical attention.  I am also limited on the physicians that I can see.  Another being, that you did receive a gift card for Walmart, and purchased a dinette set that you also had acknowledge in the comment below but said to Marice on the phone, that you did not know what she was talking about.  Iris, just keep the facts straight and no one would have a problem questioning the truth.  It is great that you are receiving some help with furnishing your healthy HUD home.  Some of us have to live in a toxic home, like myself and I am sure many others are doing the same because we dont' have another home to turn to with anyone's help.  I am sure that all the mold victim's wish you well, just please,  keep the facts straight.  You have no idea how sick Marcie is.  She has no way of getting her infusions, she has no computer to try to find resources to help her,  and NO MEDICAL INSURANCE   She can't just jump in her car and go to a nearby hospital in fear of mold attacks that could kill her with such a low immune system and fearing others that are ill could harm her severely.  I, like Marcie, think that you should share with other mold victim's how to put donation buttons through paypal to help them also.  We all are very sick.  Myself, I have never been one to ask for help through donations for myself, knowing how many others need the same, and/or are much more ill then myself.  Your story has been told numerous times, and is well known, some of us think you should just post their stories alone and their pictures alone without putting your links on or attaching your story to theiirs.  This way, you would be helping by putting some individual attention on them and their tragic story.   Sincerely, Darlene    Toxic mold.. Darlene: My heart too goes out to Marcie and all who are sick from molds/mycotoxins. I'm thankful for Sickbuilding and the support they give to so many people. I wish I knew who could get her those infusions she needs..  Darlene, I am indeed grateful for ANY help I've been given.  My church never gave us any gift cards or money.. but they did give us a roof over our heads for over 2 months of the 10 or so we were homeless. and they gave us prayers and hope.  Darlene, they also gave us a used but very clean bed and dresser.  Oh, I also am thankful they gave me 50.00 to help Kim get that live cell analysis done, when i had mine a few weeks ago. that was nice of them. Other than that, we were finally able to go buy a small dinette from Walmarts for 99.00. At least it's a small little table.  I miss all the antiques and furniture, many were from my grandma, our music studio and so much we had to leave .. I would like to have a sofa and some chairs and things but I'm sure we'll get some furniture again one day. I'm just glad to have a home again.  Tho' it's pretty bare looking, this is finally a nice and clean apartment. It's real quiet here and the people are nice. Darlene, my teeth have been cracking and hurting since 2003. 3 abcesses and 2 front teeth just fell out because of the mycotoxins.  Yes, I had another abcess (the 4th) and was just going to have all my teeth pulled a few weeks ago, for they hurt so bad and we just don't have any funds for much of anything other than just barely getting by . I was blessed that a dentist friend of mine who I used to go to church with offered to fix my abcess and upper front teeth knowing I had very little to pay him. I still have many cracked teeth and many that need much work but at least my top front teeth won't hurt or look so bad and I can start to smile again. I wish I knew how to help Marcie get her treatments. I have a paper to send her of a place that will help her get her antifungal prescriptions, I'm pretty sure. I called them about her. twice.  Marcie's Dr. just has to sign the papers. I am so sorry They took Marice's cobra. I sure hope they will reinstate it. She is such a nice lady and she deserves to be taken care of for her injuires. Like most of us, we didn't do this to oursleves Like marcie, I know it's very hard not to have any medical benefits at all. I'm thankful I got treatments, weekly IVs and supplements for several months. But I do not have any medical coverage and have not been able to get treatment at all in over 4 months other than just taking Sporanox..but that's scary because you need your liver functions monitored when on this amount of Sporanox. I'm glad you have medical benefits Darlene..at least you can get medication or go to the doctor whenever you need to. I am so sorry for your situation. I think it's horrible that they will not really fix your building by doing proper remediation. It's not fair to you or even the people there who know nothing about the mold. they could be getting sick and not even realize why. But I'm sure the owners know. You've had a lot of courage to stand up to them. I pray that something happens and that you will be in a safe place soon. I'm so sorry for your health problems, Darlene. I really care about you. One of the local hospitals told me about an indogent care sort of program that may cover ER visits...I'll find out more next week.. Yes, a lady gave me a computer to work on our music and the mold issue. She had just bought a brand new one and really wanted me to be able to have a computer I could work with.  The other computer tlee uses is very old and so slow, but it's better than nothing.  (Tlee is really not doing well, and even tho he does have medicare he has gotten no medical care at all..I am REALLY scared for him...No treatment and he was diagnosed by geneitc testing last July..I've watched him go downhill while he tried to take care of me, too.) .. this computer has got to be cleaned..it won't work sometimes, as it's memory was almost full when the lady gave it to me...I'm so slow on a computer anyhow..it takes me forever to get anything done even on a fast computer. I'll try to reach Marcie,and just fax that prescription thing to her..it may help her with some of her medicines. I think those infusions are very expensive but if they gave her the cobra back..that would be a blessing..and one she deserves.. Darlene Berube - I know you have compassion. We know what the pain of mold feels like. tho' it may affect us all differently, at different times, it's devastating. It hurts to see Marcie and Tlee not getting treatment. I know I need treatment too, but with no medical there's not much i can do about it . I talked to 3 other new people that are sick from mold this week. It's sad. and I tried to give Kim a place to stay and talk to her if she needs someone.
