Pamphlets were vital during the American Revolution -- in educating the colonists and motivating them to throw off the shackles of their British rulers.

With the Web, cellphones, DVDs and giant flat-screen tvs, pamplets may seem quaint. But as experience shows, sometimes the low-tech printed page is mightier than the high-tech digital byte.

As shown in a recent article in Utne Reader, pamplets are making a comeback.

Pamplets can be printed and sold cheaply enough that anyone can afford them. They are small enough so that even busy Americans with a short attention-span can get a dose of truth in under an hour.

I have reserved some good domain names for selling pamphlets, and I -- and many of you -- have written essays which are ready-to-print into pamphlets.

Let's take this 200-year-old tool off of the shelf and use it to reach all of those who do not get any real exposure to what's going on in this country. Let's reach those hypnotized by tv news lies with the real story.

I believe in signs.

The back window of my car is covered with signs, and there are even a few on my windshield. Hand out signs. Pamphlets are not effective. (People can always do a google search) A simple sign like "Cheney did 911 to start the wars and Bush dictatorship" are good. So is: "Crooks, Suckers, Lazy Cowards" or "Republicans return to their vomit" (No arguments. No moral appeals.) If someone doesn't like what you believe, let them come up and face to face. I think that millions of people agree with us. All they need is to see the confirmation on a sign. Another payoff is that they realize how biased the crook media is.

Putting it in Writing

When I started in broadcasting we wrote our stories to meet a grade 10 level of education. During the last 10 years that was dropped to grade 8 and it was suggested that we write to grade 6. (mainstream news bite size)

Let us consider that between 40-50 million people over 18 fall into this...

"In the United States, the 2003 National Assessment of Adult Literacy (NAAL) report, issued in 2005, estimated that 30 million adults function at the "below basic" level of literacy skill and 11 million adults are in the "nonliterate in English" level..."

That represents a lot of people over 18 who are unable to read a ballot. Is someone going to read a brochure to all of these possible voters?

Lawyers and Attorneys

GW, momentum is picking up and any action in that direction is helpful. The mouvement to expose 9/11 lies and to oust the culprits is indeed becoming torretial and is going to sweep away bowlders on its way. We have good news coming up every day like today's George McGovern's call for impeachment printed in WP!

Among concerned citizens to address with brochures and pamphlets are lawyers and attornies- not corrupt lawmakers of course. Some attorneys are conscientious concerned citizens and can make quite a difference. Look at what the founder of downingstreetmemo.com has achieved since its foundation in opening our eyes to lies that led to an illegal war. Let's fill up their mailboxes with your pamphlets.
