I feel like some of those running for office, their surrogates and the conservative media are all used car sales men..  They are skilled at selling you something that you don’t want and is not even what you are interested in.  But somehow they make you believe it is, or confuse you so…that you can’t remember what you came in to get.  And once you are good and confused, they send in the big guns…”the manager”.  He gets you committed, but wants you to feel this is your decision and it is the best one.  And just in case you still are uncertain, a General Manager will come buy…ask you if you are happy….look at the paperwork…then whisper…you know what….I can sweeten this deal for you.  I am going to take a little more money off the price…how is that?  What can you say?  Thank you?

You know the phrase, buyer beware.  Well, voters beware.  The used car salesmen are out to get you to buy their product instead.  And their team is ready to pounce on you until you say uncle, or Hillary or McCain…anything but Obama!

Barack Obama came onto the scene in a bid for the presidency and his candidacy has been phenomenal.  His message and his candidacy represent change…dramatic change.  He has started a new and great movement that will not be soon forgotten. The nation loves him and has signed on.  Everyone loves him except the competition…those who have something to lose.  (I ask you to look at those fighting hardest to defeat him and ask yourself what they stand to lose.)

Some have remarked that it is easy to stop a candidate.  It is almost impossible to stop a movement.  If you listen closely to the Conservatives you hear them say this in various fashions.  But movement opponents are trying nonetheless…using the only tools they know from their tool box of old political tactics and some new ones.  Today, unlike any other period in our history, we have professionals that can be hired to derail a message and stop a movement.  Thus is what we are currently witnessing.

The Masters of Political Talking Points (Conservatives) are hammering away and are hard at work to combat the most important political shift in modern day history.  As you heard, the Presidential Candidacy of Barack Obama is not simply another campaign.  It is a movement—akin to those we’ve read about in our history books featuring legends like George Washington and Martin Luther King, Jr.  And like the pundits and haters of today, you had those who scoffed…it could not be done.  Then when it looked possible they said…you don’t want that guy to lead…what he knows…he has no experience.  And when that didn’t work they had to come up with a strategy…a Counter-Movement Strategy.       COUNTER-MOVEMENT MESSAGE:

You are hearing it from the Clinton camp as well as the conservatives.  All are trying to stop Obama and the movement he has begun.  The Counter-Movement message that is to serve as the killer weapon against the Obama candidacy surrounds experience.

The opponents are brandishing the idea of “experience” like a medal of honor.  It is sad however that they do not get it.  Let’s dissect this.

Another word for those with “experience” is “one with 20, 30 or more years of service.”  Now I am not sure if I am the slow one or if it is those writing talking points for Hillary Clinton and the Conservatives, i.e. the authors of this counter-movement message.  However, Americans are voting for a movement representing Change.  I don’t think the faces that have been around for 20 or 30 or more years are a vision of change…it is a reflection of what has been around for 20, 30, or more years.

So if the nation is calling for and voting for change…what would make you thing touting 30 years of experience equals change.  That is more akin to the same old, same old.

Now, let’s look at the definition of Change.

In this context, Change is the opposite of Experience.  So, Change is the opposite of what Americans are calling for.  You do the math

Obama = Change

Change = New, not the same, not the old

Experience = Not new, around for a while, seasoned, the same old

New - does not equal - Not new

Therefore,

Clinton, McCain – does not equal- Change

"ready on day one"

This is exactly why Hillary Clinton will be "ready on day one" because nothing will change. The only difference is there would be a different lobbyist (Monsanto) in the oval office.

My name it means nothing, my age it means less. My deeds of activism are mine to enjoy and share as I feel necesary, not as some clown in a small forum's administration thinks I must..This place gets worse each and every visit.

It is nice to be committed

It is nice to be active politically, it is a great thing to make an intelligent choice and then support that choice.

It is silly to compare the election of a President to the purchase of an automobile, however. It is rather standard practice, when choosing a CEO, for any reputable firm, regardless of size, to carefully scrutinize the resume of a potential candidate, to look for innacuracies within that resume and to, finally , judge the character of said candiate. The job for which Barak Obama is applying is rather more complex than the task of buying a car, or of the CEO of all the major corporations as well. thus any criticism of his lack of experience seems to me to be a valid question.

As far as the change you seem to seek from your candidate, well, have you perused Senator Obama's (rather limited) voting record in the Senate? Have you examined the high ranking staffers in his campaign that are from such (impeccable..not) industries as the subprime mortgage field, and one of them, by the by, is under indictment. Have you even noted the list of Obama campaign donors and noted the infusion of cash from the same corporations that give to his opponents, the both of them? Are you keeping track of the increasing numbers of , if not lies, then certainly misstatements issuing from his lips?

Other than his almost ministerial and passionate appeals to your emotions what of a concrete nature do you see him saying that his Presidency will change?  The Iraq war? He does continue to fund it does he not? NAFTA? Not according to his own staffer who assured the Canadian government that Obama meant no such thing. Besides, anyone reading his book has read in his own words that he is a globalist.

Look, I do not see Senator Obama as evil or anything, I do see him as little different from his fellow Senator and rival for office, Hillary Clinton. Excepting in the experience department...oh drat we've come full circle.
