For OpEdNews: Ezekiel - Writer

If you believe...

...that Bush stole the 2000 election with the Supreme Court and the press as his accomplices, what makes you think that America will ever have another fair election?

...that the neoconservatives lied America into a war with the press as their handmaiden, what makes you think, as the same drummers beat out the same rhythm, that they will not attack Iran before too many months have passed?

...that America's economy is a Titanic that has already struck an iceberg, what makes you think that you can wait any longer to get in a lifeboat?

...that the government has monitored your phone calls and your bank account, what makes you think that they cannot find some excuse in all that data to accuse you of disloyalty?

...that Halliburton has been paid millions to build detention camps, what makes you think they will not soon be filled?

...that America's "leaders" played a role in bringing about 9/11, what makes you think that there is anything that they will not do to hold on to power now that they have it?

...these things, how can you go on living as if everything is going to be OK?
