This whole Iraq war is turning into something we have not expected and is only going to get worse because we are neglecting a very critical thing and that is DU. Depleted Uranium. You/ Progressives/ Democrats/ Americans want the troops to come back to spread and contaminate the rest of us living here in the USA?

Soldiers go back to the community, make love to their wives, girlfriends, and settle back to watch them become ill and die?  People have not really stopped to think about what we are in for. We want to end the occupation and symbolically bring the troops back, to contaminate North America? Hey hold on minute? I didn’t support them going over there to kill thousands with DU, become contaminated so they can come back and wreck my life!  We told them NOT to fight this war. You would think they learned from Iraq #1 with the Gulf War Syndrome. Come to find out it is not a Syndrome anymore. It is Depleted Uranium and it is coming home to roost in hometown Mom and Pop. 

Fellow Americans need to know the truth that bringing US troops home is a terrorist act, by infecting and contaminating our communities with DU soldiers. The following is my letter to Brian Ross of ABC news......  

Do you guys really do investigations? DO you know anything about DU Depleted Uranium? Do you know how many tons were blasted into Iraq during the first Kuwait invasion compared to the 2nd time? And don't forget Afghanistan. Did you know that Gulf War Syndrome has been identified as DU? Do you have any idea how many soldiers have died who served in the Kuwait campaign? I know these figures. But do you? Are you going to tell the American people the truth about DU or is it too hard for ABC to do?

Bush wants to bring back contaminated DU troops! If we bring back 160,000 troops who are definitely DU carriers back to society in America it will infect and contaminate the rest of us here....isn't that really a TERRORIST ACT?  I am talking about some serious bad things happening to our country. The American people should be made aware and consider that TROOPS should NOT come back for the sake of the health of American citizens.

Do we want 160,000 or more deformed children, with women contracting the contamination? And let’s not forget our gay men in uniform who could easily spread this situation into the Gay community. We are talking about something here that is worse than AIDS, because AIDS is treatable, but DU is not.

None of the News Corps say a word about DU. Why? This has got to be the biggest story, since 911, since the invasion of Iraq, since Katrina, since the Tsunami. Where are you guys? All Americans should get a clue, and get glued to educating yourself about DU.

If I get DU I will kill myself. Ever wonder why so many US soldiers have killed themselves? And I won't come into society to pass it on to my family; probably the reason soldiers kill themselves. It’s certainly the most honorable thing they could ever do to protect America.

You think the military is going to take the time to test all Vets before they return to the USA? And since DU is a time release poison, it appears when it is good and ready. Everyone’s DNA is different, so some people die sooner than others. Do the American people know the realities of DU coming into the USA? The answer is NO.  

Bush should leave the troops there, for the sake of all the dying Iraqis who will die from DU, and to protect the American people from being contaminated by 160,000 DU troop carriers coming into the country. In my book bringing them home is a Terrorist Act.  Iraq should be quarantined, and leaflets distributed telling the people they are dying from DU, and should stop fighting to help the world body find a way to help Iraq, or the entire Iraq population will die from this exposure.

Those Iraqis who are Sunni or Shiite, or whoever  are fighting each other are going to die from DU, so stop fighting and start helping each other find a way to solve this terrible situation.  Its hard to believe Alqaeda and Iran are fighting in Iraq; a State now highly contaminated with DU Depleted Uranium radiation poisoning. What are they fighting for? A radioactive State that they have no idea in how to clean up? And American troops are in the thick of it. They are going to die right along with rest of the people in the region, unless they stop fighting and work together to stop the spread of the poisoning and work on cleaning it up. 

Iran should be told this, and I am sure Iran will not be going into Iraq, to infect their people and soldiers. I am telling the truth about DU. It doesn't go away. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? It stays with us for 4.3 billion years. I don't want US Troops coming home to contaminate our communties.

I don't want my daughter going to school when I know her girlfriends Daddy just came home from DU Iraq, giving hugs and kisses to his darling, to have my daughter playing with her, knowing she could come down with DU. Stopping terror begins right at home. KEEP THE TROOPS IN IRAQ!

No to Mistreatment   Speaking as one who has written on DU, while I don't question your allegations, I can hardly get behind your recommendations. I don't support the war in Iraq, American hegemonic aims, or DU.  But I also don't support victimizing men and women, the great majority of whom were sincerely serving their country and unaware of the existence of DU, let alone its properties. Yes, the families should be warned. Yes, we need to explore how to live with people who can pass on DU contamination. As you say, it is much more dangerous than AIDS. But no to stigmatizing or mistreating them.  Your approach lacks compassion in the same way that making war on Iraq, grasping another country's oil resources, and using DU itself all so fundamentally reveal a lack of compassion. By the way, DU is blanketting the globe. DU is certainly present in the United States, where numerous government agencies have been testing DU and DU weaponry.  I wouldn't be so glib about not having it.   Dr. Asaf Durakovic, speaking on CNN recently, said DU is harmful "even in the amount of one atom." How can you be so sure of your own health?  Other articles on today's OpEdNews say that cancers and leukemia are on the rise in San Francisco. What about elsewhere in the U.S.A.? Keep the troops in Iraq. I don't know why you suggest quarantine is a victimizing word? I have all the empathy in the world for the victims, but how about the responsibilty in making sure we all don't become victims? Having empathy by your caring remarks makes me feel I need to have DU in order to not discriminate against anyone. You know somethings are because they are. Maybe you should send my mail to any of the Reservations in the USA...they are quarantine centers aren't they? Bush sure has the White House all quarantined up doesn't he. Everywhere where DU isn't he has quarantined. So how about Iraq? I am very aware of the environmental damage being done to the planet, and who is stopping it? It keeps getting worse and worse. When do we say enough is enough, without fear we are victimizing someone? I oppose nuclear development, and I don't own a car. There is a a huge problem in Iraq with DU contamination. People are dying, including our troops, so why risk people who have not been exposed?  Intentionally using DU in civilian populations is in my book an International Crime. What is really amazing is the lack of empathy on a lot of people who will shout insults at me, for speaking up about this, for laying the truth at the table, and I am a bad guy for making the statement about the troops. Well I didn't send them to Iraq, I didn't ask them to use DU, I didn't ask them to protect me. I am telling them what they should consider as they risk our communities. I personally don't want DU Troops in my neighborhood, or any DU or nuclear activity around me. The war on terror is really a war on the environment. Pretty soon there is a breaking point. You try to poison me with your acts, and I will become upset and angry. Maybe to the point of carrying out terrorist acts to stop you? And if it is not me acting, it is the planet with its storms and floods, and earthquakes, and rising seawater. Somehow this whole War on Terror has become nothing but terror. The only winner is the Terrorist? Someone has to stand up for what is right. Allowing DU troops to come home in my opinion is a huge mistake, and don't say I didn't tell you so. You will witness the increases of deformed babies, there will be more strain on our health care system, the increase of abortions, and the dying away of military families.
