3.25.07 Bill Bradley on Sunday's Meet The Press

Bill Bradley is a person of integrity, which apparently voters were not up for in 2000, look what we got.  We need a Bill Bradley and not "statesmen" like Newt Gingrich or John McCain to lead or otherwise advise decision makers on how to lift this country out of the mud.  No more liars, please.
..
Rare persons of integrity sound like this:
.
"FMR. SEN. BILL BRADLEY (D-NJ): Well, Tim, “The New American Story” says that we can solve our problems—whether it’s health care, education, there’s reforming democracy—if we put country ahead of party and we tell people the truth, and that a—if, if, if you have bold solutions, you can solve our problems. And a leader who’s bold enough to tell the people the truth will find an audience ready for bold solutions.
.
And at the core of it is something I call the ethic of connectedness. And I guess you can sense that when you see the picture of the earth from space. It’s pretty easy when you see that picture to realize that we’re all connected because we have one ecology. But if you talk about tax policy, health, education, in America today, you have conflicting ethics. The ethic of responsibility, which is individual action, associated with Republicans; the ethic of caring,..." [snip]  Full show transcript: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17706775/
.
Most political talking points on both sides ending with the now generic,"raises questions of credibility," are rampant, as though this administration's more than six and a half years of bungling criminal activity, approaching a simile of Nazi Germany's rise to power, is not suffering from a terminal illness -- our terminal illness.
..
Don't think for a minute we're not demonstrating to the world what spineless creatures America has spawned into its leadership positions.  It's as ugly as it gets when life becomes an expendable commodity. One hundred thousand dead, (so far,) Iraqi men, women, children and babies: insurgents, right?  I don't think so, Holocaust is a better word, or is it already taken?  Abused have become abusers. So, when is enough, enough?  How many more dead bodies for avarice and greed?  How much more destruction before the planet abuses once and for all its abusers?
..
Bill Bradley is a man in sharp contrast to America's presiding political Kabuki theater.  I hope we see more of him when we hit the remote, so we can view what real authenticity looks like.  It might help.
