19%?
Where on earth do they find these boneheads? by Bob Tracey (3 articles, 0 quicklinks, 5 diaries, 46 comments [1 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 at 2:02:28 PM

Unbelievable
Its hard to believe that Bush's approval rating is 19%. Two out of ten people approve of murder, lying, ignorance, delusion, illiteracy, arrogance, graft, corruption, cronyism, swaggering, strutting, smirking and looking like a doofus. That Bush has such a high approval rating is unbelievable. by Ed Martin (139 articles, 0 quicklinks, 35 diaries, 173 comments [4 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 at 3:29:59 PM

Reply: Moreover...
I'll bet that some of the 81% that "disapprove" do so because he hasn't yet "nuked" Iran, or because the market value of their house went down, etc., or for some other ridiculous or purely selfish reason. by Harold Smith (0 articles, 3 quicklinks, 2 diaries, 556 comments [1 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 at 5:12:22 PM

Democrats won't impeach without serious pressure
The Democrats won't impeach without serious pressure. Neither Clinton nor Obama are anti-war. They require the existing "tyranny toolbox" intact. See the following Council on Foreign Relations website: http://www.cfr.org/publication/15505/ US foreign policy is already being written by the CFR by the same people that are advisers to Clinton (Strobe Talbot and Sandy Berger) and Obama (Brzezinski). Our next president/vice president is already chosen, folks...McCain is the stooge that makes everybody run for the Dems... Also, http://www.cfr.org/thinktank/tanusmes/index.html Notice here that neither Iraq nor Iran are off the table for the Dems. MUCH more pressure to impeach is needed if we want to stop the wars in the Middle East. www.islandwebdiva.net/WWME.htm by Linda Inveninato (0 articles, 0 quicklinks, 0 diaries, 12 comments) on Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 at 3:43:48 PM

I Fear...
I fear that the only thing that will make things change is a radical revolution. We need to first understand the root problem. The problem is deeper than Bush and BushCo. They are just puppets. We need to find out who is pulling the strings. If you pull out a weed and don't get the roots, the weed comes back. Once we know who is pulling the strings no mercy should be shown. They are diabolical, and no mercy should be shown for the devils they are. by Bob Gormley (1 articles, 0 quicklinks, 3 diaries, 1094 comments [65 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 at 5:31:54 PM

Holding Politicians Accountable
There are no mechanisms in our current system of government to truly give the people to hold their politicians accountable. They easily can parrot centrist buzz phrases - and then once in office - do whatever they please. We vote once every four years - then they sell us out, give corporations everything they want, wiping out the national treasury on the Military Industrial complex. It's time we become more people and planet centered. How can we have an impact on our government on an ongoing basis? Corporations lobby 24/7/365 - spending money they have robbed from the people. They hide everything they do behind the corporate veil and have no accountability. They are supposed to serve people, and instead, they rob us blind and use our governmental processes against the people. How do we make corporations accountable and transparent - piercing and destroying the corporate veil and all the corruption that hides behind it? We have to hold our politicians accountable to the people and not corporate interests - but the system is stacked against human beings. by August Adams (11 articles, 0 quicklinks, 1 diaries, 585 comments [12 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 at 9:39:27 PM

Secret Vote Counting Only Has an 8% Approval Rating
A Zogby poll shows that 92% of Americans are intelligent enough to understand that counting votes in secret is dangerous. Of course, this poll shows that 8% of Americans either don’t know what to think about secret vote counting or are actually in favor of it. That explains half of Bush’s support in the polls. To see the Zogby poll and other important information about voting, go to Project Vote Count’s FAQ page http://www.projectvotecount.com/faq.aspx Ohio and Texas are two very important states with a lot of delegates at stake in the Presidential primaries. The primary elections in both of these states are on March 4, 2008. Curiously, even though there is overwhelming public support for election reform and for restoring peace, Congressional leaders in the peace movement and the election reform movement are facing challengers in these primaries. If they lose, who in Congress would dare speak out against the war or the dangers of secret vote counting after that? For more about these crucial elections, see Help Keep the Election Reform Movement and the Peace Movement Alive http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_mark_ada_080215_help_keep_the_electi.htm Learn how you can help, and take action! Politicians Wont face Impeachment Issues on Bush
Impeachment of Bush is and always has been highly unlikely because the reasons for it in this case have to do with government power and no politician really wants to decrease this - even if currently being extended by a president. Having power - and even more of it - is what virtually *all* politicians want from their very first flirtation with "public service". **Kitty Antonik Wakfer by Kitty Antonik Wakfer (26 articles, 27 quicklinks, 9 diaries, 163 comments [15 recommended, 0 rejected]) on Saturday, Feb 23, 2008 at 1:19:06 AM
