It is always my goal to think up and type out a thought provoking, hard hitting, insightful, illuminating, surprising, entertaining, serious and fun article every time I sit down at my computer and use my Yahoo Note pad. This time will be no exception, though perhaps this time I might finally succeed. Yes, this time I'm going to discuss substantive Political Issues with no intruding mock up voices or strange conspiracy theories about Globalist cliques and cadres with agendas of world control and domination. No SIR! this article will be strictly "ripped from the headlines" of Main Stream Media and only about the Real World Political Processes occurring in the Actual Nation's Capital where the real Elected Representatives of the People do the Nations business. No diversions or flights of fancy will enter into this, from here on out, totally dedicated article about the pressing, pertinent, important, lives hanging in the balance, issues of our time. I think it is time to buckle down and use my articles to help make this a better world.
"Oh give it a rest! Why do you always have to be such a SMART A**?"
Uh oh, now who could this be interrupting what was going to be my serious attempt at real world political analysis?
"I have no time for you right now, I'm busy," I, not wanting to be rude, reply to my unwelcome, uninvited, imaginary guest's disembodied voice. A somewhat critical voice at that.
"What do you know about Politics anyway?" Just who do you think you are?" "You're not clever, you're not funny, in fact you're just a waste of valuable time and space," he continues on with his, to me, personally hurtful tirade.
"I know enough about Politics to realize that Congress has no intention of abruptly ending US involvement in the IRAQ War." "In fact I have said as much starting last November when the Progressives, flush with victory, declared that now things will be different," I reply, defending myself and my, to him, skewed views.
But I go on,
"Since both parties signed on to this war, it only made sense that changing Majorities would make little difference."
He says, "But the Democrats ran on the promise of ending the War." "So what in your opinion went wrong?"
My imaginary voice seems sincere in asking so I reply,
"Well, the Democratic Candidates didn't exactly pledge to immediately end the WAR." "If you listened closely, all the candidates gave Caveats about meeting certain conditions in Iraq before it would be possible to bring home the troops." "In fact there wasn't much difference between the two party platforms as a whole in the 06 elections." "It's just some people heard it that way. I'm afraid that was just wishful thinking or selective hearing."
"You're a LIAR!"
my agitated, suddenly irrational, imaginary antagonist blurts out.
I naturally react,
"No Sorry, I'm simply telling it like it was and I'll tell you something else, I don't recall Nancy Pelosi ever saying in a speech or anywhere else that she would move to Impeach President Bush." "That's both before and after the 06 elections."
He takes a deep, imaginary breath and then with face turning red and all muscles tense, his mouth slowly opens and,
