But what the USA really wants is for Poland and the Czech Republic (and most likely a 3rd and a 4th European State) to answer with a strong "yes Sir!" or "yes Ma'am!" when asked if they're willing to allow the USA to slip a few fancy, new and untested missile deterrent systems up their skirts over the next few years. Poland's PM Kaczyński says he is in favor of the idea and that he would answer with "yes", if asked. Czech President Vaclav Klaus is flying to the USA in March to further discuss the matter but has already signaled being in favor of the deployments. The only ones speaking (nearly) level-headed on this are the Slovaks and even they would give in once the price is right. Isn't this a weird way of slowly greasing up the public ? I mean, either he's with us or he's against us. It's either yes or no. And just when is the US going to ask ? Have they already ? Of course they have and they know juts how thin the ice is. There's a lot at stake, people. Imagine how the USA could make money just by producing the system components. They don't have to work, they never have to work. And how would you do a live-fire test on such a system anyway ? A simple drone or two over Crete won't do the trick. That's old stuff...Hawks, Pershing IIs, Redeyes etc. Come to think of it, those missile systems really did work. But they were cold war stuff...also produced in very large numbers, not because they were needed but because a lot of people got rich making them. They made so many of them the disappearance of a lot of those rockets had to be arranged, probably because they produced a hell of a lot more than were shown in the books. Oh, they got their money for sure, you can bet on that. There's always the black market.
