Nobody wants another cold war...

But what the USA really wants is for Poland and the Czech Republic (and most likely a 3rd and a 4th European State) to answer with a strong "yes Sir!" or "yes Ma'am!" when asked if they're willing to allow the USA to slip a few fancy, new and untested missile deterrent systems up their skirts over the next few years. Poland's PM Kaczyński says he is in favor of the idea and that he would answer with "yes", if asked. Czech President Vaclav Klaus is flying to the USA in March to further discuss the matter but has already signaled being in favor of the deployments. The only ones speaking (nearly) level-headed on this are the Slovaks and even they would give in once the price is right. Isn't this a weird way of slowly greasing up the public ? I mean, either he's with us or he's against us. It's either yes or no. And just when is the US going to ask ? Have they already ? Of course they have and they know juts how thin the ice is. There's a lot at stake, people. Imagine how the USA could make money just by producing the system components. They don't have to work, they never have to work. And how would you do a live-fire test on such a system anyway ? A simple drone or two over Crete won't do the trick. That's old stuff...Hawks, Pershing IIs, Redeyes etc. Come to think of it, those missile systems really did work. But they were cold war stuff...also produced in very large numbers, not because they were needed but because a lot of people got rich making them. They made so many of them the disappearance of a lot of those rockets had to be arranged, probably because they produced a hell of a lot more than were shown in the books. Oh, they got their money for sure, you can bet on that. There's always the black market.

You see, the USA is sick. The country has to produce weapons that are not needed. Without these production lines, the US economy would crash. So a lot of very smart people got together and decided to push (like crack cocaine is pushed) a new weapons system on certain target States in Europe.

But the USA is only doing this because they love Europe and they want to protect Europe from those bad guys in Syria, Iran and yes, in Russia. Or so they would like for you to think.

A book I recently read comes to mind.....

Confessions of an Economic Hitman : How the U.S. Uses Globalization to Cheat Poor Countries Out of Trillions - by John Perkins

...and this is where Mr. Perkins' book comes in handy ; the USA is planting a trap for Poland and the Czech Republic. They can lend the weapons systems and set up a debt plan. That way, the USA can count on having support from these two in the UN. And if and when Europe decides to join Vlad Putin in saying "enough is enough"....these two countries can be the junkyard Dogs that rush up to bite us in the ass. Or so. Hell, the way Merkel and Chirac have been acting lately, it wouldn't surprise me if they came right out and begged for "US Protective Systems"....the only problem with that is - we the people. We don't want it and they know it. They can't come straight out and say "yes" as the Poles and the Czechs have done.

So how do you tell a poor, unemployed young father of 5 children to oppose a US Radar station in his backyard when he's being led to believe he'll be getting a job as a security guard there ? He hates the Russians and he's being told the Radar would be there to keep the Russians out. How do you explain to him that the Americans are only out to screw him and his country ?

An ex-Pat for going on 30 years and still no sign of homesickness. Oh how sweet it is to be free to roam and never go home.
