Ron Paul: Another Fox News Hit Piece

Tell A Friend

The Neocon political / media machine’s first “darling” was John McCain. When his star faded; they quickly found their next choice, former New York mayor “Rudy” Guiliani. This choice was considered a “sure shot”, after all Rudy was “America’s Mayor”, the “Hero of 9-11”, that is until the New York firefighters began to speak out about how he mishandled the entire situation, and how he had neglected the real hero’s , the New York firefighters, whom he had built his own “hero” persona upon. Then of course was the “other” dirty laundry, how he had turned the City of New York into a “sanctuary city” for illegal immigrants.

Realizing that they had failed again, the Neocons found their “next” rising star actor Fred Thompson. He was polling through the roof, and they thought that they had finally found a winner.Comparisons to Reagan abounded, although the fact that both Thompson and Reagan were actors is where the similarities end. Thompson’s star soon fizzled as well.Next came Mitt Romney, whom the Neocon generals did not put much faith into at first, thinking that America was not ready for a Morman president.

The Republican political / media machine, quickly running out of options decided to give Romney a second look. No longer would they perceive him as a candidate that was out of touch with the people, the spinsters soon decided that he was a viable candidate, they would simply portray him as the next John F. Kennedy, who would vow that his religion would not dictate the choices he would make as president. The inevitable soon occurred and Romney gave the “Kennedy speech”.  In her December 14th, 2007 column Conservative pundit Mona Charen stated that, “The religion speech cast a new light on him. The question as to whether someone’s religious convictions are a fit subject for public scrutiny is not as simple as it sounds. It’s too pat to say, “There should be no religious test for public office and there’s the end of it

What Romney’s religion speech demonstrated was not so much his devotion to his own faith (though he declined to run away from it) as his understanding and embrace of America’s civic religion.”The Neocons soon found out that once again they had failed, in America’s eyes Romney was no JFK. What happened next was a complete 180 degree turn. It had been a far journey from backing cross-dressing, liberal “Rudy” to their next sure shot, Mike Huckabee, a former Baptist minister, and Governor of Arkansas.

The Republicans reversed the engines and decided to embrace their traditional Christian-Right core. Huckabee is being portrayed as the leading Republican candidate for President, however “bumps” in the road have started to appear. In 1992 Huckabee had suggested that AIDS patients should be quarantined, and in Gene Lyon’s December 12th, 2007 article, Mike Huckabee is exposed for paroling a serial rapist and murderer.

Lyons writes, “After the board voted to parole DuMond to Missouri, Huckabee wrote a “Dear Wayne” letter stressing “my desire... that you be released from prison” —the proverbial smoking gun he can’t now rationalize or whine away. Angry Missouri cops say DuMond’s victim’s severed bra straps were like a calling card. They found his DNA under her fingernails. Huckabee’s latest book claims that DuMond died in prison before coming to trial. In fact, he was convicted of murdering Carol Sue Shields on Nov. 12, 2003, and at the time of his death was a leading suspect in the murder of a second Missouri woman.”

While the Republican Party struggles, they overlook the one candidate that America wants, Texas Congressman Ron Paul, a true Conservative who wants to bring America’s troops home, stop nation building and abolish the Internal Revenue Service.

Congressman Paul has won almost every poll conducted following each of the presidential debates; on November 5th, 2007 Paul set a fundraising record, $4.3 million in one day.  As the Alternative News Sources website reported on November 6th, 2007, “Having been forced to report on Ron Paul’s record breaking donation drive yesterday, mainstream outlets seized the opportunity to emphasize the Guy Fawkes gimmick, that was used by grassroots organizers to draw attention to Paul’s campaign, as a way of tacitly suggesting that the Congressman’s message of freedom and limited government is synonymous with terrorism and anarchy”.

Despite all of this, on December 17th 2007, the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, Ron Paul broke yet another record, raising over 6 million dollars in one day. Fox News responded by having him as a guest on “Fox and Friends” on December 18th, 2007.Instead of asking about Paul’s record fundraising of the previous day, Fox and Friends asked Ron Paul’s opinion of Mike Huckabee’s latest commercial, which some say display’s a prominent cross, (or window pane in the background.)Ron Paul responded by quoting, Sinclair Louis, who said that “When fascism  comes to America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross”. Paul went on to say that he didn’t know whether that was a fair assessment or not but added, “you wonder about using a cross like he {Huckabee} is the only Christian, or implying that subtly, I don’t think I’d ever use anything like that”.

What Paul was saying was that, he would never act like he is the only Christian candidate, later that morning the Drudge Report headline read, “Ron Paul: ‘When fascism comes it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross’...”

The Banksters fear him most

The ruling elite - The Banksters - are against Ron Paul because he's the only one in Congress who has been consistently been calling for ending the "Fed" private central bank scam - He's been made invisible via media blackouts all his terms in Congress.  He is the only one they are afraid of ... expect the Dean "scream" treament or worse.

Ron Paul is America's candidate

Fox had to do something to try and discredit him. Why is it that all of the polls conducted after the debates show that Ron Paul wins everytime, despite the least amount of questions asked and the least amount of time to respond?

Why is it that he leads in campaign donations from those serving in the Military?

It is because Ron Paul is a true American, who believes in the country created by our founders, one of non interventionism, true free trade, and staunch vigilent neutrality.
