What Pop and Poppy May Have Forgotten to Mention to New Bride, Jenna

Tell A Friend

Political differences aside, Huffington and I finally agree on something. In Huffington’s “Mr. Jenna Bush Gets a Piece of the Action” written by Chris Kelly and published today, www.huffingtonpost.com/chris-kelly/mr-jenna-bush-gets-a-piec_b_101260.html

I sense we may indeed be kindred spirits on this issue of grave concern to all life forms in this nation.

First, please allow me to say there simply are no words to describe the horror of reading accounts of sociopaths A-OK with nuking their own nation, their own people, their own families...

Even themselves.

Well, I suppose one could reason that, as the ol’ saying goes, what’s fair is, after all, only fair. I know everybody says what’s good for the goose is good for even the Nuker-In-Chief’s dander. As this logic would go then, the poisoning of America’s health and environment – via Depleted Uranium, nuclear power plant emissions, and other dispersal methods of radioactive poison gas -  must, out of necessity, also include first families, too… right?

I don’t know. With my Catholic school upbringing and all, I’m just not so sure about this.

Call me old fashioned perhaps, but those of us with a morsel of compassion left in our hearts admittedly do feel a tiny crumb of concern for our American quasi-royalty, too… even if the nut jobs in power are apparently quite A-Okay with radioactively poisoning not just others - but themselves as well.

And as unpopular as this might make me for all those who believe an eye for an eye is the only way to go at this point in what my Revelations-believing friends truly consider is now the prophetic End Times?  I am just going to come out and speak what’s in my heart… so here goes.

I do not want young Jenna to inhale dangerous radionuclides into her lungs any more that I wish that fate upon my own young adult relatives… yes, even despite who Jenna’s pop and poppy may be. There, I’ve said it. I don’t want the twins or their families to die a slow, painful death due to radiation poisoning… any more than I would wish such gruesome horrors upon my own flesh and blood.

Look at it this way, if you will. We could have done more and we could have done it sooner. After all, if we had an emotionally unstable child hell bent on inflicting pain and harm on innocent pets and playmates, wouldn’t we have already done our utmost to try to protect the lad and society - by shielding the troubled youth from rendering harm unto himself and others… a long, long time ago?

By the same token, I wonder why then are we – as Americans of strong moral conscience - not doing the same thing with our psychologically unstable political first family? By all rights, should we not already have joined together and physically removed these sociopaths from power – all of them, in all levels of power – to a safe place where they would be able to do no further harm to themselves or others?

Some of us may be able to assuage our conscience a bit by claiming ignorance of the widespread malevolence. It has only been in the past few years, after all, that I’ve learned that the nuclear power plant near my home, Calvert Cliffs, has been emitting regular radioactive releases for thirty years – Uranium and Tritium particulates - into my air, and dumping the thermal releases right into the once clean, clear waters of my beloved - albeit dying - Chesapeake Bay.

And as strong, dispassionate, and stoic as I may try to remain as I do my research and share my thoughts with anyone who will listen? To find out that my own federal and state civil servants are A-Okay with harming us - and our treasured natural resource, the Chesapeake… the Bay that once teemed with rich, abundant aquatic life - is almost more than this compassionate environmentalist and humanitarian can bear.

Does our royal first family’s young bride not know all of this yet? Is it perhaps possible that she’s unaware of the radiological poisoning of her own environment, supported and enabled by those in her very own family and the multitudes of Daddy’s moneyed, elite and powerful cronies in the DC area, including even some who were guests at her wedding?

Has the psychopathology gene in her family possibly caused her very own conscience, too, to cease functioning... rendering her self-protective survival mechanism defunct, her DNA genetic materials possibly radioactively mutated, damaged, and malfunctioning beyond repair?

I don’t know what the US royal offspring’s deal is. Maybe the whole wicked lot just do not give one whit about the rich shellfish and other life forms once abundant in the Chesapeake Bay. Maybe they don’t give an elephant’s rear end that inhalation of radioactive substances damages and/or destroys human cell functioning?

Perhaps Jenna has never even heard of Epidemiologist and radiation specialist, Sister Doctor Rosalie Bertell, who wrote: The picture one needs to form is that the human body has trillions of cells, and perhaps a few hundred are affected in the immediate vicinity of wherever these particles happen to be lodged. When a cell is damaged, is may die (which causes no further problem), be repaired, or continue to live and reproduce itself in the damaged state. It is this latter case which causes chronic illness, premature aging effects and can ultimately cause cancer.” www.iicph.com/docs/Annual_Gulf_War_Illness_Conference.htm

Civil servants and the ease of immorality

I liked this rant Cathy. It was far better than the Huffington piece I thought.

One thing you wrote that I think matters a lot was this:

"To find out that my own federal and state civil servants are A-Okay with harming us - and our treasured natural resource, the Chesapeake... the Bay that once teemed with rich, abundant aquatic life - is almost more than this compassionate environmentalist and humanitarian can bear."

A lot of the problem lies here, in mass social behavior. When holding an authoritarian role, such as civil servants do, it is all to easy psychologically to do the wrong thing without sweating it much at all. This is how the world goes round, with everyone slaving away squandering the world's limited resources in a race to line the pockets of nameless, faceless shareholders they will never meet.

But it is not the individual evils, the crimes against the environment and so on, that matter most; it is the behavior pattern itself wherein otherwise normal people feel most at ease when they put their bosses' authority above all else on their motivational queue. The Stanford Prison Experiments hold a very deep and wide-ranging lesson for society.

This whole area is not discussed enough. My favorite book, which I still haven't finished after owning a copy for about three years now, is all about this sociological side of global, institutionalized f*ck-upping. It's called Voltaire's Bastards and is written by John Ralston-Saul, who is married to Adrienne Clarkson, a former Governor General of Canada.

Funnily enough, I think that quite a few of the financial and social elite of this world "get it" and would love to be part of the solution. I hope Obama is one of these. As far as I know, he hasn't publicly commented on DU - and why would he, honestly?

And regarding your essay again, there is alway the chance someone will forward it to the youngest Bushes. I'm sure poppa hasn't told them about it. Perhaps he doesn't know about it himself. Why would he. It's not like he reads the European press or anything. He reads his briefings. Same as the old-time Chinese Emperors.

Reply: Thank you

Dear Peter,

Thank you so very much for your comments.

I have to be careful not to throw stones in a formerly-glass house.... You see, up until about 2003, I was one of those Americans who thought that if I watched MSNBC News, I would get all the information a busy person living in the US could need to know.

Boy are we snowed.

If one does not read the news via the Internet, one has absolutely no clue that there is massive propaganda and brain washing being performed on the vast majority of Americans. None of the major newspapers speak the truth, the TV news is nothing but a pack of lies, and even so-called "progressives" like The Daily Show and The Rolling Stone and enviro-groups and peace groups will not tell us the entire truth.

As far as our 3 presidential candidates go? The only reason why they made it this far was because they were all 3 very "good to go" in maintaining the lies promoted by what writer Bob Nichols calls, "The Industrial-Military-Congressional Complex."

As far as anyone telling Jenna? I would not hold my breath. But, living here between the radiation emitted by Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant and Aberdeen Proving Grounds? I kinda wish I could...

Best,

Cathy Garger
