What if Congress won't listen? Lawyers, please respond

Rob Kall, editor of op-ed news, reports that http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_rob_kall_070129_the_historic_2c_first_.htm Saturday's massive antiwar rally in Washington, DC was actually an impeachment rally. The same was true in San Francisco.

It's clear that Bush and Cheney will do everything they can to thwart the will of the people, who want the US to withdraw from Iraq ASAP. They are already escalating in Iraq, without Congressional permission- an impeachable offense, as Francis Boyle points out. www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=BOY20070120&articleId=4528

The details emerging from the first week of the trial of Scooter Libby point to a high level conspiracy to out Valerie Plame as a CIA agent, masterminded by Cheney with the knowledge and assent of Bush. This is a crime under a 1982 federal law carrying a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison and tens of thousand of dollars in fines. http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/012907J.shtml Surely an impeachable offense.

There are so many impeachable offenses that websites go on for pages and pages with lists of them. It is encouraging to see John Conyers, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, breaking ranks with Pelosi and starting an investigation into abuses of power by Bush with "signing statements" that override the laws passed by Congress. But Kucinich said, in answer to a question at a Barbara Lee event Saturday evening, that impeachment is still off the table because "it would interfere with stopping the war". What a pile of manure! Obviously, there will be war as long as warmongers are in power.

Congress includes many members, Democrats as well as Republicans, who look to the war corporations- Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Bechtel, Halliburton, Carlyle- for their campaign funds and perks while in office. Will they put aside their personal interests and do what their real constituents, we the people, want? Will they use the power of the purse to cut military spending and force Bush to bring the troops home? and will they start impeachment hearings?

The American people are watching closely. We don't have much time. The war drums are pounding for hitting Iran, Syria, escalating in Iraq and Afghanistan, using nukes. As Boyle points out, World War III could start as soon as August if Bush and Cheney remain in office.

We can't wait until 2008 to vote in another president or a new Congress. If this Congress refuses to stop Bush and Cheney, what recourse do we the people have? If they ignore our letters and phone calls and emails and marches, what do we do next?

I appeal to all the lawyers who read this to give us advice. Can we recall Congress? Can we impeach members of Congress? Can we call a Constitutional Convention that overrides whatever they decide? What recourse do we have?

Perhaps the current Congress will do the right thing and open impeachment hearings soon. But if they don't, we the people need to have a new strategy prepared. What will it be?

In the name of the Prince of Peace, Carol Wolman

I was also present at the SF Kucinich event, & second what

Carol Wolman has said here. The audience (filled to overflowing) at SF's First Unitarian Universalist Church Saturday night was clearly way ahead of Kucinich on impeachment, & was disappointed by what they heard from him.

Furthermore, he said nothing at all about the fact that while he & Barbara Lee and a very few other Dems oppose the war, 98% of his party supports it & are merely criticizing aspects of Bush's approach to it, rather than the thing itself. Democratic Party complicity in this immense crime is a central issue, and Kucinich shouldn't have maneuvered around it.

Kucinich may be right. If the Bush/Cheney Cabal is challenged by an Impeachment process, they may accellerate their war plans. I know this sounds scary, but hey--we're all scared.

Stop the Wheels of Business As Usual

We don't need lawyers to remind our Congressional representatives that we know that when they took an oath of office to uphold the US Constitution, their sworn allegiance was unconditional. I say We The People, from each and every Congressional district must be present over and over again, in each and every office of our Representatives, insisting that they begin drafting Impeachment Articles. In other words, we must occupy the Halls of Congress.

Yes, No or a 3rd way to impeachment

I looked back at what Elizabeth Holtzman wrote earlier in the Nation and then googled her name and found where John Dean and she had been compared. This led me to Dean's article in Findlaw about impeaching not the president or vice-president, but some other official(s) in the government. At about the same time time I remember signing a petition against Gonzales, which would have been right after his preposterous appearance before the Senate Committee. Is that a way to worry the big fish?

So how do we take back our government?

I would think that a good start would be for us to finally and at long last understand that our two party system is a sham and a fraud. When a decent and well meaning guy like Dennis Kucinich can say that impeachment of two like Bush and Cheney, who daily flaunt their dismissal of constitutional law and their sworn duty to this nation to pursue ends which aide the very few at great cost to the very many, I say it is long past time to cease our reliance on these folks.

Now I do not propose revolution, not armed rebellion at any rate. What I do suggest is that everyone think long and hard about the betrayals of the democratic Party, the malfeisance of the GOP and understand that, in the absence of armed revolt our best option is third party politics.

The Green Party has foresworn monies from corporate sources to ensure that it remains free of the encumbrances that this money brings with it. It is the need for this funding that forces folks like Kucinich to refuse the obvious course. It is the need for money that made Pelosi rescind her promise to slash the oil subsidies, it is the money that corrupts the system, that forces the Democrats further to the right each election cycle.

I believe that the time for third party politics is at hand.

Blanket and surface statements do nothing.....

Your dismissiveness of third party politics and its eventual effect on our governance begs the question of how much thought you generally put into responses.

Do you honestly believe that the Democratic Party is the solution to what ails this nation? If so then how do you plan to turn them away from their obeisance to corporate monies and the military industrial complex? What do you see wrong with a fledgling political party that has foresworn all contributions from the corporations in order to best represent the people?

If you do nothing but dismiss and criticise then you are no better than Bush and company, no more capable of participating in solutions than they are, sorry. If we do not do something we do nothing...perhaps you might suggest alternatives from the rather high horse you sit upon, in judgement of those who are actually trying to change things.

A remarkably shallow & mindless response to a burning

central issue! Why not just say, "We must have faith in our leaders in times of trouble"? Or perhaps "We should simply go shopping more often, and trust that the wisdom of our great system will take care of things"?

Don't you even understand that America's so-called "democracy" is disintegrating right in front of your nose, & that this is inseparable from the fact that there are only 2 parties -- both tightly controlled by the same interests? Why even bother posting on a political blog, if you've never thought about these things enough to appreciate what's really at issue?

Anti War Rallies, Marches, Vigils, Flags, Banners, etc.etc.

1. Marching on a weekend does nothing to bring traffic and business to a standstill.
2, Marching where the police allow, renders marchers subservient.
3. We each need to do what is Uncomfortable: march on a work day, march en masse on public property, be willing to be arrested.
4.Be a presence in your representatives' offices, insisting on appointments, waiting in offices, filling the Halls of Congress with the People in whose name the represesntatives serve.
5. Nothing less than demands: power concedes nothing without demand...never did, never will....remember Frederick Douglass.
6. Learn from History or be doomed to repeat the failures.
7. Consider that We The People are at War with those who fail to represent our overwhelmingly majority position.

WWIII Started in 1947

WWIII actually began in April of 1947 when the Atomic energy commission gave the go ahead for an all out nuclear build up, with the intent to exterminate the human race in an all out nuclear war.

Bush ordered a nuclear war started during the Lebanon incursion by Israel.

For those who are familiar with reverse speech, Ken-Welch com posted this fact, along with a reverse speech of Tony Blair. Blair said in reverse speech: "They locked us out."

Who has the ability to "Lock us out," of any military device including a nuclear missile?

During that same period, the Lebanon incursion, US Naval Intelligence lost their ability to transmit or receive any messages for a brief period of time. Who has the technical expertise to knock out the communication systems of the plotters in Naval Intelligence?

When a missile launch is software blocked by "ET," it also is electronically shut down. The circuitry must be removed and replaced. This requires several days to do.

During this time that the nuclear missile attack to begin WWIII was software blocked and Naval communications temporarily were electronically shut down, a "Mutilated cow" was flying though the air with the greatest of ease, at the Malmstrom nuclear missile launch facility in Montana.

The "High level powers" are aware that our human enemy Fiend elite have absolute and total control over what is broadcast on the Mainstream Media. The flying Mutilated Cow over Malmstrom, is the best kept news secret of 2006.

The Mutilated Cow was dropped near to the main launch control facility at Malmstrom. This type of event is to awaken our Minds to what is going on around us.

"ET" also shut down the electricity to the missiles and the Diesel generators went down, and the batteries that were installed to insure that these weapons of genocide could be launched upon orders from our enemy Fiend elite, well they went dead also.

It seems that when "ET" says no: No it is.

So Bush Fiend and his "Alliance" partners in War crime, are getting ready to discover what will happen next. Bush still is apparently of the opinion that he can start an all out nuclear war and kill us all, before we place him in the Docket. If I were a betting man, I would put my money on the high level powers keeping the nuclear war machine in shutdown, long enough for humanity to end this Fiendish nuclear threat to us all.

It seems that if "ET" continues to say no to our Nuclear war fighting Fiend elite, No it will be.

What a wonderful day it will be when the American people, ("The Living Dead") understand what the late Senator John Stennis was talking about when he said that "When the American people find out what is really going on; it is going to Blow the Pentagon, right out of the water."

If 40 years ago, the Fiend grandparents of our current Fiends, could not get around the Extraterrestrials and launch an all out nuclear war; and the Fiends parents could not start a nuclear war 20 years ago because "ET" said no; What makes the children and grandchildren of our nuclear war fighting Fiends think that they are going to start an all out nuclear war now?

For the groups within the governmental structure that are reported to have contact with the Extraterrestrials, it would be good to contact the "ET" and find out what is in store for our current group of nuclear war fighting Fiend Elite.

When the "Living Dead," that's all of us ordinary folks, awaken to what has gone down, our nuclear war fighting Fiend elite may have to Pray to "ET" for mercy.

They may need to Pray to God almighty and ask to be spared what could be in store for them.

The "ET" told our nuclear armed Fiend elite nearly 60 years ago not to exterminate the human race and our Fiend elite ignored the advice.

"ET" explained to our nuclear war fighting elite that if they went about trying to kill us all with the newly discovered nuclear weapons of genocide, at some point in time, we would learn the truth. And when that time came: You're going to wonder where the yellow went!

Instead of Lawyers responding, paramedics may need to be placed on stand by first, to service our Fiend class.

Why Congress Won't Listen

I have family that is part of the intelligence community so what I am about to write needs to be precluded with some explanation of that world. As in politics the intel world is divided into two groups. In politics/military that division is between "hawks" and "doves." Obviously I do not need to explain that symbolism and their differences. In the intelligence communities there is a somewhat different split. There are no "doves', but there are "owls." Those who believe there are wiser ways to protect our country, uphold the Constitution, and spread democracy and freedom. The owls believe in God and country and the founding principals that established it. They will "hunt" as necessary to survive and they will protect their nest. The other group, while definitively "hawkish", are the "sharks." They are killing machines. Overwhelming force, regardless of the moral or political implications, is their modus operandi. Ultimately the ends justify the means to them. Even among those two distinct fundamental separations there are political and spiritual divisions. The outing of deep cover CIA operative, Valarie Plame Wilson, has caused great strife between the two competing philosophies and partisan divides are beginning to evaporate.

I am pasting something I have written below that also appeared in OpEd News in a shorter version. I have several articles on that site, but this one in particular is important right now. The mainstream media will not publish my article, (as though I should be surprised by that LOL). The story has been vetted/fact checked by numerous individuals and it all checked out. The conclusions expressed from those facts seem to make some uncomfortable, but nobody has any better explanations. Millions are DEMANDING impeachment! Cheney and Rove are going to be handed to Congress on a silver platter by the time the Libby trial is over. The list of Crimes that Bush himself has committed keeps growing. Without Rove the right wing political propaganda attack against impeachment will not exist like it has in the past. There are no excuses unless the Democrats and even some Republicans really are truly afraid for their lives and the lives of their families. The intel community call the kind of clandestine operations that I, and others in the "know", believe are taking place - black ops. When assassination is the mission objective it is known as wet work. So I ask... Are Democrats afraid of right wing black ops doing wet work on them? Forget the "conspiracy theory" psyops framing. The facts contained below are public knowledge. Like Osama Bin Laden, the Anthrax killer remains at large. WE need to tell our Congress people that we have got their backs. This criminal enterprise must be stopped!

Impeachment is Off the Table?

To say "impeachment is off the table" is the equivalent of saying the Constitution, the rule of law, and democracy are no longer relevant.

Maybe the Democrats are actually fearful of doing anything with good reason. The anthrax attacks were directed at ONLY the Democrats and certain segments of the Media. Fox news didn't receive any. And, oddly enough, although nobody considers the National Inquirer to be part of the media, or a threat to anyone except slandered celebrities, their corporate headquarters were targeted first. Why is that odd? They were running stories on the drunken Bush twins prior to 9/11 and about George's cocaine habit before the 2000 election. There is also the strange admission that top Republicans were taking prophylactic doses of Cipro prior to those attacks.

It is also very "odd" that only prominent Democrats who are critical of this administration seem to die in tragic airplane crashes.

Needless to say maybe the Dems know the Bush crime family is vengeful and capable of pure evil. That should not be an excuse for postponing impeachment, but instead should be the very reason they get started immediately with impeachment hearings and eventually lead to criminal prosecutions. I guess they are waiting for either WWIII, (that starts with Iran and Syria, then China, etc); or for those detention camps of Ollie North's to start filling up with millions of Americans who protest in demand of impeachment.

It is already almost too late. If either of the above mentioned atrocities take place it [impeachment] will be virtually impossible. And God forbid they engineer or allow another catastrophic terrorist attack on American soil. At that point martial law will be instituted and George W. Bush will have the dictatorship he always wanted.

In the meantime how many more soldiers and innocent Iraqis must die? How many more of our civil liberties and rights will vanish in the name of national security? How many more high crimes will be committed by this imperial president? The truly patriotic of America are demanding answers and justice right now.
