Dear Nancy Pelosi,

We are writing to remind you: your oath of office states that you will uphold our Constitution and defend it from all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC.

We the people have sovereignty under the Constitution. You are our Representatives, our voice, our public servant. Your job is to carry out our will.

We elected you Democrats to Congress in the hope that you would rid us of the pirates who have taken over the Executive Branch. We gave you a landslide, despite the dirty tricks of the Republicans. You have our mandate.

We the people have sovereignty under the Constitution. You are our Representatives. Your job is to carry out our will.

We want an end to illegal wars and occupations. We want our rights and freedoms restored. We want a stop to Bush and Cheney's looting of our treasury to line their own pockets. In short, we want them OUT.

We are suspicious, Nancy, of your talk about bipartisanship and cooperation. We are willing to give you a chance, but keep in mind that we are watching you and your colleagues in the House very closely.

We are noticing if you fail to do something about Bush's "signing statements", which override the laws you make for our benefit. We are noticing if you talk about getting out of Iraq, but fail to use your power of the purse to limit what the administration can spend on keeping us there. We are noticing if you fail to re-open the investigation of 9-11, and fail to ask the first obvious question: whodunit? We are watching to see if you rescind the hateful Military Commissions Act. We are noticing if you fail to label ripoffs by Cheney's company an impeachable crime, and if you fail to label violations of the Geneva Conventions an impeachable crime. We are watching closely, Nancy.

We want Bush and Cheney OUT. You have a clear majority in the House, and can easily conduct investigations that will lead to impeachment. It should be easy to make such a strong case against them, that the Senate will have to find them guilty and force them out of office. If you take this path, you will have earned the right to step up to the presidency yourself.

If, on the other hand, you cooperate with these criminals, you are opening yourself up to charges of criminal co-conspiracy. We will hold you accountable.

Bush and Cheney are the greatest enemies the Constitution has ever known. They are using their phony "war on terror" to shred it and replace it with a fascist dictatorship, little by little.

We the people have sovereignty under the Constitution. Power is vested in us. You are our Representatives. Your job is to carry out our will.

Impeachment was written into the Constitution to stop just such usurpations of power as this. Impeachment is peaceful, legal and democratic. It is your clear duty.
