For OpEdNews: Brian Wolf - Writer

The White House has issued a statement that President Bush is “pleased” that the House fell thirteen votes short of the override needed to overturn his veto of children’s healthcare.

The 24% of the American people who are still lobotomized sufficiently to continue to support this barbarian must also be rejoicing. Michelle Malkin is likely turning cartwheels, we can only hope she slips and falls into her ever open and ever widening mouth. Why should we be surprised that Bush would use his 4th veto ever to turn down child healthcare? He never funded Every Child Left Behind. The Dirty Air Act could hardly be seen behind the smoke and mirrors. Maybe with all those five week vacations, he just couldn’t get to it.

That’s the Bush way, put on a show, tell everyone how great it is, and then walk away without leaving a mandate on how to accomplish it. Bush’s whole life has been the same kind of failure after failure. TANG, Harken Energy, Texas Rangers, Governor of Texas and now POTUS.

So what we have learned from Bush is this: A trillion or two for a monumental blunder in Iraq; OK!Billions missing in Iraq; No big deal!Hundreds of thousands of weapons missing in Iraq; Oh well!A powerful hurricane almost wipes a major US city off the face of the map; Hey, Brownie’s in charge! No bid contracts to the company that the Vice President was CEO of and is still drawing a “deferred” salary, nothing improper there!Outing a covert CIA agent for political revenge, what? Huh? Who?   Education for Kids; no need to fund it!Clean air and water; Hey The Rapture is coming anyway.

5 billion a year for 7 yrs for children’s education; misguided.Effective body armor for US Troops, you go to war with the army you got.Veterans Administration; they’re injured and can no longer fight! What use are they to us now? Combat pay increase; what would they spend it on anyway? Better armor for the Humvees and Strykers; PLEASE! There’s tons of scrap metal just lying around Iraq, how about some good old Yankee ingenuity?
