It was a busy weekend on the 9/11 truth front, as the Director of the explosive new feature length film on 9/11 truth issues, Reflecting Pool, joined a growing chorus of 9/11 truth researchers and activists, who have pointed out the reality that historical-fiction works, can draw many more eyes to look at the hard facts of the 9/11 attacks.  Especially in an age when corporate media is actively censoring factual coverage of the 9/11 questions. Mark Twain's work on the evil's of slavery in a fictional book that got people of his time thinking, is a historical case in point of the power of current-event-fact-related novelistic narrative.

In recent months such 9/11 truth heroes as David Ray Griffin, Professor Steven Jones, Kevin Ryan, Janice Matthews, and many others have pointed out the value of historical-fiction narrative, in the form of "The Shell Game," by New York Times best selling author, Steve Alten.

The book is laced with historical facts, which leave many readers, even Bush Republicans re-thinking everything about current events and America's future.  However, beyond the historic facts laced in the book, the author has become a voice for truth as he gains corporate media attention for his novel.  And in the interviews the leap from fictional narrative to cold hard, disturbing, facts regarding 9/11 are taking front and center.

For example, the historical fact nature of Alten's latest work was best heard in Alten's recent interview on National CBS Radio's Jim Bohannan Show, where 9/11 truth facts became a critical part of the interview, and Bohannan allowed Alten to read directly from "The Shell Game" the historical facts that lead Bohannan to ask Alten if he thought the US government was behind the 9/11 attacks.

The other aspect of historical-fiction is that it weaves 9/11 truth issues into the most unlikely of venues, such as a Book Fair in Florida this weekend.

This weekend the 9/11 truth telling novelist of "The Shell Game," author Steve Alten, had a heated exchange with famed horror novelist, Stephen King's son Joe, when both sat on a book fair panel in Ft. Meyer's Florida.  When Alten began speaking of the shocking facts he'd discovered regarding the events of 9/11 Joe Hill (son of Stephen King), became skeptical of Alten's conclusions which pointed to US government involvement in the events of 9/11. Alten stood strong, pointing out that the facts he'd offered regarding the War Games, etc. on 9/11 were indisputable historically recorded facts.

Now, on the other hand, on this same weekend, "The Reflecting Pool" Director, congratulated Alten for his courage in taking this issue on in his work, and beyond.  Jarek Kupsc, the Director of the new film "The Reflecting Pool," wrote Alten and described what he thought "The Shell Game" offered the struggle for truth, regarding the events of 9/11/2001.  However, beyond the book's value as a tool to fight for truth, the talented director commented on Alten's raw courage, for having taken on the dragon of 9/11 truth in his work.

Below are both a trailer for the new film "Reflecting Pool" as well as comments by its director on the importance of "The Shell Game," and other creative fictional works that rely heavily on 9/11 truth facts, and how they can in some ways touch many more people, faster.  With an end goal of drawing more eyes to the profound non-fiction works and the truth around 9/11.

Steve [Alten],
I admire your cohones.  To come out with this book this particularly important election year makes me (and many other people) more hopeful that the tide will turn.
To my knowledge, “The Shell Game” is the first novel of note to deal with the issue of false flag operations as they directly relate to September Eleven.  I don’t see how anyone who reads your book would look at 9/11 without the highest suspicion that the official story is simply not true.   Allegorizing 9/11 into the sphere of near-future political deception, you make a very persuasive case for the total complicity of the Bush administration in perpetrating the biggest tragedy on American soil since the Indian Holocaust.  As we both know, one cannot look at 9/11 from the perspective of the United States alone.  Two preemptive wars under false pretenses, over a million civilian deaths in the Middle East, thousands of dead American troops, record suicide rates among the Iraq veterans, the demise of the Bill of Rights – coupled with solidifying dictatorial powers in the hands of a rogue, unelected President under the aegis of the Machiavellian mind of his Vice President – all this is stranger-than fiction reality of today’s world.

It is “The Shell Game’s” greatest achievement to raise these issues so openly and offer an all-too-plausible scenario for a future self-inflicted attack that would tip the world into an irreversible
direction of global chaos.
Lastly, I would like to commend you for focusing so much attention on the ecological issues, specifically on finding renewable, alternative sources of energy that would permanently wean us off the oil spigot. As you suggest in your book, if you compare the U.S. military bases in the Middle East with the existing or proposed gas and oil pipelines, both maps would overlap.  Shouldn’t such picture be enough to persuade public opinion that whatever we are doing in Iraq and Afghanistan has nothing to do with democracy and freedom?

This much is certain – we are both dealing with something of enormous importance in the medium we understand best – creative work. Some will dismiss it as speculative fiction.  Others will understand that the best way to reach larger masses is to appeal to emotions and
to invite the reader or the audience to share in on imaginary experiences if only to avoid the real ones.  Such emotions, when supported by undisputable facts, are capable of forging very strong
reactions to real issues.

Thank you for helping to awaken those in the dark, and for shattering delusions about the nature of the powers-that-be.

My very best,

Jarek Kupsc
