------------------------------------------------------------ Black Box Voting : 1-on-1 Consulting Area: 'My brain is on overload!' ------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Bev,
Okay, my brain is on overload! WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET THE SOS IN EVERY STATE TO SAY HELL NO TO THESE MACHINES?
I'm here in Austin, Texas with Vote Rescue. We're gearing up for what looks to be one of the best parallel elections we have ever had! Many of our people want to be poll watchers instead of actively participating in the citizens election. I think it's a good idea.
I also want to know if I could print some of these articles and hand deliver them to our oh so honorable sos Roger Williams. Please let me know how to proceed with this.

Yeehah! Vote Rescue -- some of my favorite people in America. By all means, you may print any article from Black Box Voting as long as you attribute it to us and provide a link to this site.
Let's be clear about this. While I am essentially non-violent, I have also studied a number of "people's revolutions," and those are generally NOT non-violent.
The SOS's and the local election officials should understand the consequences of their actions in the event that there is a revolt in this country against their way of thinking. These people believe that elections are just an "inconvenience;" that following the letter and spirit of the law is an "anachronism;" and that a little supression or fraud is OK as long as it is on the side of "the moral Republicans" and against the "evil Democrats and Liberals. They need justice, and if "court justice" is not available, you can be sure that the mob -- freed of restraint -- will be happy to give them "street justice," which is not nearly as fair, reasonable, or easy to manipulate with $1000/hr lawyers.
Can you imagine the consequences of a million black people finding out exactly what Ken Blackwell did to the black voters of Ohio in 2004 through 2006? I don't think there are enough security forces (private AND public) in the entire nation to protect him. Same for Kathrine Harris or Baker or any of the other stooges, or even for a fellow who led the "Brooks Brothers Riots" to stop the legal counting in Florida in 2000 and now sits on the highest court of the land.
It's not just a career choice, it's a LIFE choice.

My county, Placer in California, has done a great job of resisting these new machines, and only agreed to use some when the paper trail was added. There will only be one per precinct, available for disabled voters, but they may refuse to use it. The elections office is expecting maybe 150 votes on these, at a cost to the county of 1.7 million. My county registrar himself spent several hours with me going over procedures and policies, as well as demoing the machine. I'm just a citizen, no one official, and yet they went out of their way to educate me. The public is welcome to attend any testing and counting. I left feeling very confident that my vote will be counted fairly.
