You Want Constructive Criticism? OK Here Are a Few.

Senator Frist has asked for constructive criticism. I have some.

First, why have you decided to make the investigation into hurricane Katrina partisan? I suggest that you make the commission that will investigate what went on before and after the storm a bipartisan committee with an equal number of Republicans and Democrats as members.

Second, why did you not permit Democrats to offer amendments to the Hurricane Katrina relief bill? You say that you are trying to be fair, and yet your actions speak louder than your words. By alienating Democrats from the process you have created an atmosphere of partisanship. I would like to suggest that in the future you open up government to both parties.

While I am on my soapbox, I'd like to also make some recommendations to the Democrats. The tactic that you used earlier this year to prevent the Republicans from running roughshod over the ethics committee needs to be put in place now with respect to the Katrina investigation. This investigation must be bipartisan. Anything less will result in a whitewashing of the entire matter.

The Democratic Party must stand together on this. We must get to the bottom of this failure of government. It is a matter of national security. It is literally a matter of life and death.

The blame game is in full swing. The Republicans are pointing fingers at everybody but themselves. The Democrats are pointing fingers at the Federal government. America needs to know the truth. That truth is going to hurt. People will need to be held accountable for their actions and inactions.

In this case, the first responders who did their job regardless of the political fallout are the only ones who deserve the Medal of Freedom.

A writer is a rogue goose. All other gees fly in a flock formation; every goose knows his place and time for honking. The rogue goose is undisciplined. He leaves the formation indiscriminately to have a look at it from aside. He roams back and forth, takes a peep at the leader, honks a little bit from behind, distracts everyone and writes on what he sees. Time passes and as he wants to return back to his place he discovers someone else there. Thus he either has to wait until they land for rest...

'Bipartisan, partisan' Oh, my God , again?

The investigation of the New Orleans massacre has to be initiated by the New Orleans District Attorney or Lousiana AG as a criminal investigation of the conspiracy to committ murder. It has to be the normal judicial process, using the Patriot ACT ( see my blog) and it has to start with subpoening material witnesses: Chertoff, Brown, Bush.

All the other investigations are useless.

Why is that no one, absolutely no one asks for this? Why this idea is not even mentioned in the media? People died. Someone must be acccountable. The criminal investigation is in order. For goodness, sake, what is going on?

My name it means nothing, my age it means less. My deeds of activism are mine to enjoy and share as I feel necesary, not as some clown in a small forum's administration thinks I must..This place gets worse each and every visit.

What is going on?,Mark, you have been paying attention haven

What is going on ,Mr. Sashine, is governance by those who hate government.

Bush has a track record of incompetence, he refused to allow aides to cut his vacation short despite the growing disaster in the South, he walked away from both the oil company and the baseball team richer but no wiser. He reads no newspapers, watches no news on TV, refuses to hear anything but his own opinions, has filled the government with similarly corrupted and incompetent federal haters and we are now screwed badly.

We are hoisted on our own petard and will remain so regardless of our editorials and opinions and honest good intentions. The fault, Horatio, lies not with our stars but with ourselves.

++++++++++++++++++=WASHINGTON - Blind trusts are designed to keep an arm’s-length distance between federal officials and their investments, to avoid conflicts of interest. But documents show that Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist knew quite a bit about his accounts from nearly two dozen letters from the trust administrators.

Frist, R-Tenn., received regular updates of transfers of assets to his blind trusts and sales of assets. He also was able to initiate a stock sale of a hospital chain founded by his family with perfect timing. Shortly after the sale this summer, the stock price dived.

A possible presidential contender in 2008, Frist now faces dual investigations by the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York and the Securities and Exchange Commission into his stock sales.

Yada, yada, yada, Angie. You are always the Grinch when it comes to anyone who believes differently than you do. I dare you to tell me the last time you had anything good to say about anyone who wasn't a liberal.

If Frist has effed up and done something illegal, get him the He** out of there. If he did do something wrong, it's not because he's a Republican, it's because he's a human! Let's remember, Angie, that since FDR was elected in '34, the spread between Dems and Reps has been 50/50. Until you are willing to blame both sides (again, they're human) I don't see your eternal conservative busting as intellectually honest. This doesn't mean I don't like you, I just don't understand the utter lack of objectivity!

I like John McCain.

I think Arlen Specter is OK.

I think Chuck Hagel is OK

There a quite a few Non-liberals that I think are pretty good.

I freely admit that I think that just about ALL neocons are fascists.

I also freely admit that I think anybody who thinks that tax cuts alone are the answer is a fool that is ruining my country.

BTW: There are a number of liberals I don't like too.

And.... again.... I'd like to state for the record that I am a Fiscal conservative and only a social liberal.

Most of the conservtives around here are in all actuality only social conservatives -- Pushing for a theocracy and control ove our private lives.

Supply-siders can hardly be called conservative.

So.. I dislike anybody who is fiscally irresponsible and is trying to take our civil liberties away.

Oh... and BTW: Frist had over 24 memos back and forth with his BLIND trustees. Obviously he was passing the day talking about the weather.

"I freely admit that I think that just about ALL neocons are fascists."

You don't know what fascist means.

"And.... again.... I'd like to state for the record that I am a Fiscal conservative and only a social liberal."

Again, that's impossible but every time I explain it you drop more points than pants in a whorehouse on Saturday night.

Re: Frist. Hmm, I thought investigations were supposed to find out guilt or innocense. You seem to presume that he's already guilty. And if the investigation proved he's innocent you won't accept the findings anyway.

Angie it sounds to me like your a Libertarian not a Liberal.

By the way Fiscally Conservative wouldn't support most of the Democrap Tax raising people you admit to agreeing with on a regular basis.
