FROM NOW ON ALL VOTE COUNTING IN THE UNITED STATES WILL BE DONE IN SECRET

ALL CITIZENS ARE PROHIBITED FROM KNOWING HOW THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE COUNTING THEIR VOTES
Well that's not exactly what's already happened in 49 states.  It's actually worse.
There's still time to prevent this from becoming a reality in New York, but only if everyone reading this email takes the action below and gets 5 friends to do it too.  Like those chain letters predicting bad things will happen if you don't take the next step, this is for real.  Our ability to remain a self-governing, free people is what we have to lose if you don't act.

The New York State Board of Elections (SBOE) is about to start spending millions of your dollars testing touch screen DREs and Optical Scanners with an eye towards certifying them for use in New York!  However, as the articles below reveal, all of the voting vendors who sell this voting equipment are not qualified to do business in New York.  And a
ll of the voting vendors the SBOE is considering contracting with insist that their computers be allowed to count our votes in secret and never let us know what's really going on.  DON'T LET THESE VENDORS AND THEIR SECRET VOTE COUNTING MACHINES INTO NEW YORK.  Tell your government:

New York State cannot do business with voting vendors with such irresponsible ethical and performance records.  It violates our laws, which must be respected. And our democratic principles must also be respected-- The Public's right to know how its votes are counted is paramount to any private vendor's desire to keep that information a secret from us.  These are our elections!

Take Action:

Contact the Governor's office
:
To Email The Governor:

How can a Governor who respects and insists on transparency and accountability in government, permit private vendors to count the people's votes in secret!
This Governor won't stand for it, if he hears from all of you.

Constitutional Rights Hang in the Balance

Ms Novick is a lawyer here in Rhinebeck. She is a firebrand, and she knows the law. What she has to say is not just for citizens in NY, which is why I'm sharing it with my entire Voters addressbook. Those of you in other states should consider doing what we are doing here, and raise Hell with your election commissioners, your state  legislators and your state governors. This is really serious, my friends. Don't let anyone tell you that our Constitution rights are not hanging in the balance. The only real
difference for you is that all states but NY have already moved to make your vote the private property of the manufacturers of computer-controlled vote counting systems.
(If you don't believe this, ask to see contract between your state and the manufacturer(s) it has signed up with.)
At least do this little bit of homework, and let them all know we're watching them very carefully. It's not over yet, but if this gets rammed down our throats before 2008 we will have to use alternative persuasions to get our Constitution back after that.
Be well.
