If Truth is Lost in the Forest And There's no one to report it Can Democracy be found?
We know the media has stopped reporting truth and we're seeing just how devastating that is to our democracy. -- The World Trade Towers were brought down and we really have no idea why or how that happened. What was reported had little to do with truth. And yet ever since that day, the falling of the Towers has been used as the pretext for destroying lives, liberties and just about everything we hold inalienable.
-- Beginning in 2000 and continuing in 2002 and thereafter, one party took control of all branches of government enabling the effective elimination of the Constitution -- and the American people still think they are a free self-governing people because after all, we can still vote them out of office, right?. Except the truth is- the counting of the votes has been taken away from us, but the people don't know that's happened. Are we still a democracy?
Re-Media is working on various fronts to bring you this information that the media is not reporting, in the hopes that you will be outraged enough to join us in fighting back to save our democracy. It is no longer an option: If you choose to do nothing, there will be no democracy left fighting for.

Election researchers will be discussing how the Orwellian 2002 Help America Vote Act forced Americans to vote on machines controlled by a few largely Republican vendors, which voting machines can and have stolen our votes. For those who live in New York, there is an URGENT ACTION to be taken right now: Send a fax to Governor Spitzer. New York is the only state not to have made a choice of voting machines and therefore has the unique advantage of being able to learn from the mistakes of others. Tell the governor we need a single statewide voting system using paper ballots and precinct based Optical Scanners (OSs). But OSs alone are not enough. OSs have also shown themselves to be hackable in the last few elections. New York State must also require the proper protocols for handling paper ballots and a mandatory hand check of machine accuracy, sufficient to prevent the fraud which has and can be committed on OSs. Simply click on this link. You do not need to have a fax machine. You will be taken to the Verified Voting site (nyvv.org) and asked to send a form letter which you may edit. Please edit the second to last sentence (printed below) with the following language, bolded in purple:
The alternative is to do what New Yorkers are crying out for- adopt a single statewide system using paper ballots, precinct based optical scanners, and accessible ballot marking devices as well as requiring a proper protocol for handling paper ballots plus a mandatory hand check of machine accuracy, sufficient to prevent the fraud which has and can be committed on Optical Scanners.
Then just check you want to send the fax and fill in the form. It is extremely important to write to the Governor immediately.

In addition to making documentaries (Outfoxed and Uncovered among others) Brave New Films is starting to use short videos as still another means to distribute information and activate citizen participation needed for long-term social change. The latest campaign against Fox at http://foxattacks.com is intended to resist Fox as a credible news outlet, which it isn't. Please visit their site to learn more and take action. Among the actions being proposed is a boycott of those businesses supporting this right wing propaganda machine which calls itself a news outlet.

Your right to vote has been stripped in California already. No one party has a monopoly on that. I voted for 5 propositions in California and almost every one was overturned by Sen Boxer and Pelosi due to lobbiests. What are we without our right to vote?
