Tis the Time of Year to Think about Gospel
or
What do Jews, Muslims, Christians, Atheists and Corporate Media have in
Common with the Evangelical Right?

In countries where people understand their elections can or have been rigged
the "official" vote count is treated as suspect. Exit polls, historically
highly accurate and reliable, are used in those countries to discredit the
fixed "official" ¯count. But not in America. Americans accept the
"official"¯
vote count as gospel and that unquestioned assumption is the gospel sung by
corporate media.

In 2004, as Americans went to bed on Election Day night, the exit polls
showed Kerry with a clear sweep (not neck and neck, but winning in 10 of 11
swing
states). But by morning the exit poll numbers posted to the Internet had
been disappeared and replaced by new ones which comported with the
"official"
tally. The media told you the exit polls were wrong (they failed to tell you
the exit polls had been right for half a century and have only been wrong in
the 2000, 2002, 2004 elections). Steve Freeman, Was the 2004 Presidential
Election Stolen?: Exit Polls, Election Fraud, and the Official Count,
analyzing the exit polls in only 3 of those swing states (Pennsylvania, Ohio
and
Florida) concluded that the odds of the exit polls being as far off as they
were, were 250 million to one. The media apparently felt that the possibility
the election was rigged or evidence of misconduct wasn't important enough to
report.

In 2006, at 7:07 PM (EST) the exit polls posted to CNN showed 55% of those
polled had voted Democratic in the House race as compared to 43.5% Republican
-
an 11.5% margin. But the "official"¯ results showed Democrats received
52.7% of the vote and Republicans 45.1% - a 7.6% margin. A discrepancy of
almost 4% between the "official"¯ results and the exit polls entailed at
least
3,000,000 votes. Guess what happened next? At 1:00 p.m. on November 8, 2006,
the final exit poll numbers were made to match the "official"¯ vote totals.
With regard to the 2006 elections, Jonathan Simon of Election Defense Alliance
(EDA), said:

"We see evidence of pervasive fraud, but apparently calibrated to political
conditions existing before recent developments shifted the political
landscape.....so 'the fix' turned out not to be sufficient for the actual
circumstances..... When you set out to rig an election, you want to do just
enough to
win. The greater the shift from expectations, (from exit polling, pre-election
polling, demographics) the greater the risk of exposure--of provoking
investigation." See EDA's Landslide Denied,

06_
(http://electiondefensealliance.org/landslide_denied_exit_polls_vs_vote_count_20
06) and their estimate that
the Democratic vote in the House was more likely 61% - 38%! If the only
news you get is from establishment media, this is the first you would be hearing
about any of this. If you want to read more about the greatest theft in
American history check _www.bradblog.com_ (http://www.bradblog.com) and
_http://opednews.com/_ (http://opednews.com/) .

Eighty percent of Americans voters used electronic voting equipment in 2006.
That number will be even larger in 2008 (look for my next email will which
be about what we in NYS can do to try to prevent New Yorkers from having to
vote on touch-screen DREs, the lesser of the two electronic evils).

If you had to make only one NEW YEARS RESOLUTION make it this:

PAPER BALLOTS IN 2008

_http://www.velvetrevolution.us/Campaigns/PaperBallots/PaperBallots.php_
(http://www.velvetrevolution.us/Campaigns/PaperBallots/PaperBallots.php)

Go to the above link now. This has to be the highest priority for the
Congress, which it will only be if you make it your highest priority. If
Congress
does nothing else in the next two years, it has to do this or nothing else
will be possible. If 2008 sees the Congress go back to the Republicans, it's
over. There will be no possibility of media reform, campaign finance reform,
environmental reform, class warfare reform, military imperialism reform,
etc. unless we get election reform in 2007!

Thanks for taking this one action now (next email, after the New Year, there
will be a lot more you need to do) if you intend to reduce the electronic
theft of our elections.
