Remember that George W Bush used to blow up frogs as a child, executed more people in Texas than any other governor and is responsible for over one million civilian deaths in Iraq ~ so torture, by comparison, is easily condoned by Bush: Allen L Roland

Here are his own words, on that subject, with Scott Bateman's perceptive interpretation ~ Click on two minute video

Conservative prolife anti-death penalty tree hugger. Believe that less government is good government, government cannot solve anyone's personal problems, the government taking money from one group of people and giving it to another group of people is a crime, and that people should take responsibility for their own lives.

President Bush and the Death Penalty in Texas

I thought that the misrepresentation of the role of the governor of Texas in death penalty cases ended some time ago. Evidently some people did not get the memo and continue to, er, 'misrepresent' what then Governor Bush did or did not do in death penalty cases. President Bush did not execute one prisoner. Please read this information (check under the paragraph labeled Clemency) and then tell me that he executed the 131 criminals during his administration and provide some references (please no wacko leftwing blog or media refs).

Another error: The Iraq Body Count lists around 90,000 civilian deaths due to violence in Iraq. Your number of million deaths seems to be a little off, unless of course you are relying on sources that may be more than a slightly biased because big body counts, as the terrorists in Iraq and most liberals would agree, are very political especially here in the US. IBC seems to be a objective observer of the situation in Iraq and uses verifible methods to document the number of deaths.  Do your sources?

And you were saying.....

An ad hominem argument, also known as argumentum ad hominem (Latin: "argument to the man", "argument against the man") consists of replying to an argument or factual claim by attacking or appealing to a characteristic or belief of the person making the argument or claim, rather than by addressing the substance of the argument or producing evidence against the claim. The process of proving or disproving the claim is thereby subverted, and the argumentum ad hominem works to change the subject. - Wikipedia

Using an ad hominem argument is a real sophomoric way of arguing. Your use of it says more about you than the person you are characterizing. Just a helpful suggestion, my friend.
