There are two reasons Cheney and Bush will not give up their corrupting power willingly in 2008.

First, they do not trust anyone in the current stable of Republican declared candidates to carry on their grand neocon agenda.

Second, and more importantly, they are in rightful danger of being indicted or impeached for war crimes and abuse of power, both international and domestic, and in their ongoing spirit of self preservation at all costs  ~ they need a party loyalist at the helm to protect them from the political gallows.

A party loyalist who knows all the family secrets and deceptions and can be trusted to maintain the neocon agenda and keep a lid on any probable indictments or investigations. 

Remember, these right wing conservative fanatics, like their leader,  are in total denial and are dedicated to staying in that bubble ~ regardless of the consequences to their party or country. Want proof ? Here is Johann Hari's, The New Republic, hilarious and chilling account of his  recent adventures on the annual neocon  National Review cruise where " The Iraq war has been an amazing success, global warming is just a myth  ~  and as for Guantanamo Bay, it's practically a holiday camp... "   Jari rightfully calls The National Review  " a mouthpiece of right-wing America, it is a parallel universe populated by straight-talking, gun-toting, God-fearing Republicans." http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article18030.htm

That leaves only one possibility for the Bushites, Jeb Bush ~ whose term as Governor of Florida has already termed out and is more than capable of coalescing the fragmented remnants of the conservative movement for one final stand against the empowered liberal progressives, particularly if Hillary Clinton is nominated.

His running mate, Condi Rice ~ another trusted Bush loyalist who will inherit the Cheney bunker as well as the ways of the dark side.

And quess who will be running around the country campaigning for them, as I predicted last year, Arnold Schwarzenegger 

Sound far fetched ~ look, if Bush could nominate Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court anything is possible ~ particularly if the Democrats continue to play dead and don't hammer the final nails in the coffin of this administration from hell.

So there you have it, the more the Democrats ignore the will of the people and procrastinate on ending the illegal occupation of Iraq ~ the more emboldened the conservative neocons will become paricularly if Hillary is the likely nominee for the Democrats.

The final handwriting is this ~ If Jeb Bush declares than quess who will make his dramatic appearance from the Democratic wings ~ Al Gore.

That would be only fitting after this eight year Cheney/Bush fiasco and would truly be the ultimate confrontation of the forces of light and darkness ~ as well as the official end of this shocking period of American shame and disgrace.
