From Hunger

Perhaps beauty
is the beast, the 666
of love is blind
temptation incarnate
to assassinate
quality of character
with a quantity of
accidental or expensive
attributes which can never
alleviate the ache
for satiating substance
over the starvation
of style.

Vi's works appear widely both in print and online. She conducts Poetry Workshops and gives readings in Central New York. Her latest chapbook is "Sine Qua Non Antiques (an Arcanum of History, Geography and Treachery).
