Stop Whining

OK – So let me get this straight.  You supported Dennis Kucinich or John Edwards.  They have dropped out of the race.  And you are very upset and have decided not to vote.

Big deal!  Stop whining about it.  The only two Presidential candidates I have voted for that won were Dwight Eisenhower, and I wish God had forbidden, Ronald Reagan.  Life is full of disappointments and controversy.  Get over not having the 'purest' of progressives to vote for, in your opinion. 

Often times people put into difficult situations rise to the occasion, and surprise everyone by doing an exemplary job.  Perhaps Clinton or Obama will also be that person.  Perhaps not.  But either one of them will do a much better job than any of the Republicans, including John McCain.  Ron Paul is a great theoretician – he would make a great Cabinet member.  But President I'm not so sure.

Whatever.  Don't be like the little kid, who when things did not go his way, grabbed his ball from his fellows and went home and sulked.  You're better than that, and I would hope more mature.

Life goes on.  We cannot foretell the future.  The only thing we can do is the best we can, where we are, with what we have.  These are the candidates we have been dealt.  Let's go for it.
