I knew it would just be a matter of time before the corporate puppet masters turned their evil eye on our corner of the web. With the chaos going on in the presidential nomination race they are beginning to look even harder at places where freedom prevails in order to squash it. The American people are waking up and it’s not just because of Obama’s campaign but because of sites like this one where people are free to analyze, critique, research and express themselves on what’s going on in our nation and the world. This is a threat to the corporate controlled media because it exposes their misinformation and deceptions they have been feeding us for so long.

What we have here is freedom, true freedom in its purest form; it gets no better than this. For so long we have bought into the lie that freedom is something we have to march for, ask for and legislate for but in reality freedom doesn’t belong to anyone person and can certainly not be given by any government institution. Freedom is in the mind, it is the ability to think as you choose, to dissect what is presented to you and challenge it. This site and others provide this opportunity to exercise our freedom. When the corporate fists of the internet try to block our access to our freedom it becomes serious and as one commenter on a article stated the only way to solve the problem is to stop using their services and support those that do.

I hope progressive people realize the power they hold at this pivotal moment in our nation. More people are becoming dissatisfied with what the corporatist are trying to push on them and they are beginning to see through the illusions the mainstream media perpetrates. People in this country are abandoning the old school politics by the droves and embracing more progressive movements and thoughts. There is no doubt something great has been set in motion in this nation and it’s certainly bigger than a presidential campaign slogan, it is the voice of the people demanding change.

In the coming years we will see this move towards a more progressive America and it will clash with the old guards who will be intent on guarding their special interest and preserving a system that benefits them. I state that no matter who becomes our next president they will have a tough job because they are coming into the leadership of this nation in the midst of a turbulent change. At the base of the foundation for change in our nation are sites like this and people like you and I who propel it with our support and contributions of information.

The one thing I’ve noticed about truth is that once you get a taste of it you want more and many of our fellow Americans are seeking feverishly for more truth about the lies and deceptions they have bought into over the last years. Now the nation turns its eyes upon us to keep providing them the truth of what’s really going on and presenting perspectives and information that is taboo in mainstream media.
