Taking stock of what I see

Ruthless men through history

Empty words of liberty

Liars rule and rulers lie

The powerless are left to cry

Empty promises and empathy

Fake as tears of sympathy

Words are used to sanitize

Ethnic cleansing sounds so clean

Makes mass murder sound serene.

Bombs away, all aboard

Kill civilians, water board

Screw that old Geneva accord

War is happening everywhere

I think I’ll go shampoo my hair

Masters degree in social work. Activist 40 years worth. Favorite quote, "we had to destroy the city to save it" hobbies taxidermy, music, saving souls and respirating
