Sad state of the union

Taking stock of what I see

Ruthless men through history

Empty words of liberty

Liars rule and rulers lie

The powerless are left to cry

Empty promises and empathy

Fake as tears of sympathy

Words are used to sanitize

Ethnic cleansing sounds so clean

Makes mass murder sound serene.

Bombs away, all aboard

Kill civilians, water board

Screw that old Geneva accord

War is happening everywhere

I think I’ll go shampoo my hair

Old fogey lamentation

I shall not shampoo my hair, cuz I'm a dirty hippie, about hygeine I do not care,

In case the globes should try to fleece, I will clean and oil My piece.

When them revenuers come snoopin, on the statehouse porch I shall be poopin,

With the Bill-os and the shill-os and the ice cap melt, I wish Rupert Murdoch would go to helt,

We are all so irate and well po-ed damn the luck, I think I will go wash My truck.

Ah yes, the SOTU!

It was the total absurdity and disconnect of the 2003 SOTU that inspired my kickass cartoon heroine, Reality Chick, who busts in on the scene amid all the lies and sets things right (oh yeah, we only WISH!)

Still as true-or truer- than it was then...except now it's NancyPee sitting where Hastert was (not much changed there, did it?)

Check it out for some well-deserved and satisfying cartoon violence :

..and ENJOY!
