Secret UN meetings discussing UFOs Chaired by President of the General Assembly

The names of three senior officials who attended a series of secret United Nations meetings discussing recent UFO sightings have just been announced. Gilles Lorant, a French Aviation expert disclosed these names in a pre-interview discussion with a French radio journalist, Didier de Plaige (translation below) . Lorant revealed that the meetings he attended on February 13 and 14, were chaired by Srgjan Kerim, the President of the UN General Assembly. From photos shown to him, Lorant also identified the Vatican’s Apostolic Nuncio and Permanent Observer to the UN, Archbishop Celestino Migliore; and Sir John Sawers, Britain’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. According to Loran, security at the meetings was not very tight and participants had to merely sign an “appreciation form” at their conclusion. Apparently, other more high security meetings were underway that were conducted behind chained doors with guards in front.

Lorant said no documents were distributed at the meeting, but a report on UFO’s prepared by a branch of the U.S. National Guard (and U.S. Air Force according to an earlier statement) was projected onto a screen. Lorant revealed that the Report had been ordered by three U.S. Senators who commented on it. He did not clarify if the Senators actually attended the meeting or whether their comments were merely projected onto the screen.

In an earlier statement, Lorant revealed that one and a half hours of the meetings was devoted to discussion of recent UFO sightings, and that agreement was reached to develop an official policy of ‘openness’ to UFO reports in 2009 provided two conditions were met. Peace and stability in democratic nations was the first. The second condition was that UFO sightings would continue at present levels. The secret meetings attended by Lorant involved 40 representatives of 28 member states. Lorant further claimed that depending on the official status of the meetings, a Report may be officially released by the end of March to member nations that could not attend.

Lorant’s revelations concerning the UN’s secret meetings that included a discussion of UFO’s indicates an official effort to coordinate international policies in response to an unprecedented number of UFO sightings in 2007/2008. For example, a parliamentary question raised about UFO sightings in Japan, led to Shigeru Ishiba, Japan’s Defense Minister, publicly stating, on December 20, official Japanese defense policy in the event that extraterrestrial vehicles appeared over Japanese airspace. He claimed that if no hostile intent was displayed, the Japanese Defense Force would not militarily engage with extraterrestrial visitors. Ishiba’s statement is one of the few public policy statements released on possible responses to extraterrestrial visitors by a major nation.

Lorant’s list of attendees is strengthened by a Vatican announcement that Bishop Migliore was present at the UN on February 13 to deliver a speech on the global environment to the General Assembly. According to Lorant it was possible for the Vatican representative to attend multiple meetings as was the case with other attendees. Similar confirmation also exists that Sir Sawers was present at the UN during this period and could therefore have attended all or some of the sessions of the secret meetings.

Lorant clarified that he has served as an attaché Research at the prestigious French scientific organization, CNRS, and that he was an auditor at another prestigious organization, IHEDN. Lorant’s credibility as a witness was recently supported by the President of the Federation European Airplane, Michel Ribardiere, who released a statement supporting Lorant’s version of events. Also a respected French expert in UFO sightings, Gildas Bourdais has publicly vouched for Lorant’s credibility as a witness. Further investigations are currently underway to corroborate more aspects of Lorant’s testimony, his reliability as a witness and to find other attendees willing to disclose what happened at the secret UN meetings discussing UFO sightings.

Source: Didier de Plaige Blogsite, March 5, 2008:

Gilles Lorant, who is now quoted on many French and Anglo-American Internet forums, clarified some points for me before we organized the interview scheduled for radio. He cannot of course comment on any of the information transmitted by Michael Salla, which relate to the day of 12 February in which he did not attend. He was in New York to observe the functioning of the United Nations, and it is a coincidence that the topic of UFO's has been discussed during these two days.

He said today:
-- It was on 13 and 14 February for preliminary discussions, to prepare for a forthcoming meeting of the Economic and Social Council.
-- No documents were circulated, but extracts from the reports of the National Guard were projected on screens, and commented on by the three senators who had ordered the reports.
-- Participants were not subject to any particular security search, it was only imperative to extinguish mobile phones.
-- At the end of the meeting, participants had to fill in an appreciation form.

"The meetings were chaired by Srgjan Kerim, a former Foreign Minister of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" (elected president of the 62nd session of the United Nations General Assembly on May 24, 2007). "Some meeting rooms were locked in a chain across the door and guarded by a messenger. The meeting room in which I found myself was not so guarded. "
I can confirm the presence of Sir John SAWERS, for the United Kingdom, and Archbishop Celestino MIGLIORE, permanent representative of the Vatican.

The permanent representative of the Vatican was present in New York at this time, as evidenced by the Catholic Press Agency: "The Archbishop Celestino Migliore, the Vatican's permanent observer to the United Nations was present on Wednesday (thus 13 February) during the 62nd Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, entitled "Climate Change: The UN and the world in the search for solutions." It was possible to join the meeting which was held in the hall of the Security Council, since Gilles Lorant told me that individuals have participated in various meetings on the same day.

During this brief interview, Gilles Lorant also stated: "I have been an attaché Research" at the CNRS, only because I happened in the past to carry out two specific contracts. With regard to the IHEDN, I have actually been "auditor", but I have reached the age limit."

UFO Articles

As recently as only six months ago you could not find an article about the UFO phenomenon on OpEd News. This topic, like 9-11 Truth on other alternative news outlets, was deemed until recently"unsuitable" by the editors most likely out of fear of ridicule and the associated stigma.

Now that there are articulate writers who can express what needs to be expressed about this pressing issue, OpEd News has demonstrated that it will not be intimidated by those forces wishing this issue would just go away.

what bothers me most about the supposed UN Disclosure Plan

Supossedly it was decided that bits of the truth would be revealed slowly.  Isn't there something fundmentally wrong with that idea?  It is essentially lying by ommission.

Although I agree that the UFO idea needs to be open for more discussion and I am glad that OpEd has afforded the medium that allows discourse on the topic, I was recently disappointed that my last submission was rejected due to "too many articles on this topic."  But I guess advocating for the sanity of abductees, contactees and experiencers was a little too far out there.

I am glad that Dr Salla has made this information that he learned public.  But I am afraid that not too many people are looking at the supposed outcome of the meeting as they rightfully investigate the sources.  If the entire story is true, then the plan is to essentially continue to lie to us.  It is to placate and maintain the status quo.

Too Many Articles

"Too many Articles" is a lame excuse that shows censorship on this subject is still in place, even on this more enlightened forum.

There are never too many articles on Hillary, Obama and the sham that is the American election process, though, is there?

Secret UN Meetings

Dear Dr. Salla,
With great interest I read your article above. although I am not a professional ufologist, nor am I an expert in Exopolitics, I proffer the following thoughts in your provocative article. I have taken the liberty to copy portions of the text I thought noteworthy, highlighting specific thoughts that you had expressed for which I would find elucidation of value. In particular, the following text from that article emerges as significant [my comments follow in brackets]:

"...the meetings were very concerned about social upheaval from continued UFO sightings and the testimonies of individuals claiming to have first hand knowledge about UFOs, extraterrestrial life, and future global events..." [Comment: this is where human interpretation of UFO phenomena runs aground: losing credibility by veering into cultic phenomena. The ability to foretell future events is claimed by three groups of people:
  1. prophets of God,
  2. cultists, and
  3. delusional individuals.

IMPORTANT FACT: please note that according to the Bible, more than one recognized prophet of God (and certain selected individuals that weren't recognized as prophets) received prophetic material from angels (Daniel, Zechariah, Mary, etc.). To maintain integrity, I am forced to at least entertain the remote possibility that God speaking to man through angels today is what's occurring. There are time-proven, winnowing criteria that must be employed to determine whether this is indeed the case and that these individuals have been given foreknowledge re: future events. I have long noted the association of ufology with the outlandish and cultish, which dilutes the credibility of truly inexplicable events. Even so, I remain open to this phenomenon. There is too much disparate, and pandemic evidence to deny that something inexplicable is happening (and has been happening intermittently for possibly thousands of years].

"...2009 was raised as the year when an important change in official attitudes concerning the UFO phenomenon could be made. This suggested that the official debunking policy underway since the 1953 Robertson Panel would be abandoned and more serious study of the UFO phenomenon would occur..." [Comment: I'll believe that when I see it. It will take a protracted effort to rectify 60 years of government-initiated obfuscation; explanations/debunking that insult the sensibilities and intelligence of a middle-school student; prevarication; and bald-faced denial of tangible evidence. Somehow I am reminded of Jack Nicholson bellowing out, "You can't handle the truth!" (A Few Good Men)]

"...This indicated an important policy shift were the study of UFOs would (sic) be officially encouraged. However, certain global conditions would have to be met for the official opening. Most important appeared to be social stability in G-8 countries and the maintenance of liberal democratic systems in developing nations. Lorant also suggested that an official opening in attitudes would only occur if UFO sightings continued to occur at present levels..."

[Comments below:

  • BEWARE! The UN is trying to parlay the UFO phenomena towards its own self-serving agenda ("certain global conditions..."). This is arrogant in the extreme! Let me get this straight! The UN is open to a change "in official attitudes concerning the UFO phenomenon", given their global agenda are met! Well isn't that magnanimous of this illustrious body! Can we be so naive as to assume that once "certain global conditions are met", the thoroughly corrupt UN, in corroboration with the U.S. and other entities are going to be suddenly forthcoming and upfront with sightings interpretation? I wonder if this enlightened "change in policy" is retroactive in disclosure back to the Roswell events? Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!
  • Am I skewed in my perception that it seems as though the US government is the only government engaging in this moldering policy of debunking??? It appears to me as though France, Russia, and Spain - to name a few - have taken UFO phenomena very seriously for a number of years - and have not embraced a policy of misleading their citizenry. Please recalibrate me on this if I am wrong. That the UN and U.S. would corroborate on this issue, when at odds in most everything else of global concern, is profoundly suspicious. I repeat: Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!
  • An acquaintance of mine has embraced a thought-provoking theory for some time. He believes that as a result of Roswell and related events in 1947-48, the US government has been spoon-feeding the American public tidbits, while inducing the entertainment industry to exploit UFO-related intrigue. Hollywood has played into the government's hands well. Anything from space or alien, sells well. Over 60 some years, this has served to desensitize the American public to be able to absorb the truth. My acquaintance has voiced the opinion that the US government is gradually giving us more and more information, until the "policy-makers" decide they can let the cat out of the bag. His theory has long intrigued me.

I find this little blurb re: the UN talks profoundly disturbing. It is possible that something big is about to happen. However, we must critically assess it, as it may be a strong delusion (See: 2 Thessalonians 2.11, New Testament). It's interesting that the Holy Scriptures state in at least half a dozen places (Isaiah; Joel; Haggai, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and, Hebrews) that the heavens will be shaken. This is deep and subject to some interpretation.

With Regards,

Keith

The Christian bibla as historic reference?

Considering the source of the words, sentences, chapters and tenets found in the bible, their compilation, organization, translation and inclusion in the final result, makes it's application as an historical reference dubious, at best.

The undeniable, and in many cases, exact premises put forth in the bible are strikingly similar to stories, mythologies and events found within numerous religious dogmas thousands of years preceeding the birth of Jesus Christ.  In many cases, it amounts to outright plagiarism.

The Great Flood and Noah, the ten commandments given to his followers through a profit, even the life story of Christ, his birth, life, crucifiction and reasurection, (to mention only a scant few), are nearly identical to numerous religions going back to the Egyptian religion, predating Christianity by millenia.
