The First Annual Venice Eco-Fest: June 28th, 2008

On Saturday, June 28th, 10 am – 7 pm, Venice welcomes a new annual ecologically themed festival at Windward Ave and Venice Beach.Venice Eco-Fest features music by local talent on a solar stage, as well as speakers such as Councilman Bill Rosendahl and actor Ed Begley Jr.Bring the family to enjoy a kid’s area with interactive entertainment, plus all kinds of delicious organic food and drink will be for sale.There will be over 150 eco-conscious and educational booths offering up to date info on alternative energy and a variety of green technological displays, plus works by local artists. The deadline for booth reservations is June 7.  For info and applications, go to www.EarthDayLA.org or call 888-295-8372 or 310-310-3177.  Volunteers are needed, please call 866-220-2370.Venice Eco-Fest is presented by Earth Day LA and the Venice Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored in part by LA Department of Water and Power, LA Department of Cultural Affairs, Venice Neighborhood Council, Venice Boardwalk Association, and The Sidewalk Café.
