The Pyramid of Knowledge: Science, Religion & Government

When we mentally bring forth an image of a pyramid, we see that it has four triangular faces. If we then imagine that the prevailing mind-set of humanity or global consciousness is one of the faces and the other three of the four faces are comprised of a group of major institutions of ideology, it may be possible to see what makes the world go around in respect to our current sociology.

Three institutions that hold prominent sway over the opinions and mood of the people are science, government, and religion. This particular lover’s triangle tends to blur the lines of boundary and begins to blend together in a cause and affect interactive relationship of influence in current society. Perhaps it is worthy of closer examination.

As those in the world of science, and those who look to science for answers, both know, the doctrine has a relationship with religion that is suffering from dichotomy. On one hand, there exists a well-known war of ideas that has manifested itself in current society as the debate on creationism vs. evolution and the debate on global warming. On the other hand, brains have burst from their boxes and we see a line of thought that is beginning to explore the concept of the mystical as provable. As in, what has been deemed to be paranormal, magical and miraculous is actual and real.

Anyone abreast of current events knows that the line between government and religion is likewise quite fuzzy in current times. Part of society seems to want government legislation over all citizens based upon the group’s own personal choice of flavor of religion. And we also see that government has had no qualms with promoting religion or with censoring science that does not support the chosen religion’s positions, or the positions of the government for that matter.

Hence, what we have in this particular trilogy of diverse thinking is an end result that provides society with no cohesive and unified understanding of undisputed truth. As truth-seekers make their ways through a myriad of information and opinion, they begin to see the battleground where one institution declares that another institution is wrong or misinformed. For every fact, our society now offers up a dissenting stance of contradiction and/or disinformation. Even the Holocaust is amazingly up for debate in some circles due to the mistrust of “official” government reports that has developed. Revisionist history is a whole other matter that should however not go without mention.

One has to wonder why so much effort is put into agreeing with and alternatively negating certain choice ideas or core concepts of each of the “opposing” institutions by each in turn. Could it be that there actually is a unified effort at play? That being to baffle the masses with conflicting theorems in order to prohibit society at large from discovering that we are living in the matrix. Do we not live in a world where we are told that what is real is forbidden from exploration and that what is actually unreal is the steady stream of lies passed off as truth by government influenced corporate owned media and quite a few public school textbooks as well as some places of worship?

Do we not live in a time when apathy and defeatism rein over the land of the free where people do not vote because they’ve come to believe it is an effort in futility? Many have come to forsake their spiritual sides as well because modern organized religion does not teach the right message in our current society. While science has become the ugly step child hidden away in the attic due to blurting out embarrassing truths in front of company. Oh what a tangled web of fear and despair we weave.

Could it be that through the maze of tunnels deep, deep within the center of the pyramid that is created by the four outer surfaces of the entities of government, science, religion and humanity lays the essential gem of truth about our species and our planet? Or is that the real axis of evil? What else could cause so few amongst us to be willing to explore the forbidden cold dark recesses of the structure that has become our lives on earth?

AZ entered the working world in 1980 after college, and shortly thereafter got married. She made many career changes, had no children, divorced and remarried, produced a child and divorced again. During this time she also became employed in the construction industry. Starting out as an accounting clerk and fill-in salesperson she eventually became a division manager in a corporation. The corporate atmosphere was not to her liking so she settled into a career as an estimator and project manager for a materials supplier in the commercial construction industry. She feels that her greatest accomplishment has been to sucessfully maintain a career while doing lots of domestic DIY home repair work and raising one now college bound child without an alcohol, drug, STD, or pregnancy related incident! Her interests are vastly varied and she is a seeker of knowledge with a lot of opinions and a little bit of moxy.

Sides of the Pyramid

The Great Pyramid of Giza actually has 6 sides. The capstone is missing. With this lack of unity between the four different visible faces, and the flat top, it was possible for man to stand upon consciousness, religion, science, and government and attempt to control them all. It is, therefore, very interesting that the Freemasons tried to cap the pyramid with gold in 2000, so that it could be "completed."

It would be erroneous to pretend that pyramids have nothing to do with what is going on today. They can be found in the US capitol, the Vatican, London, and on the back of our rapidly devaluing dollar. The pyramidal structure of domination has been used for millenia to dominate and exploit the masses. The problem is that it has been quite hard for the people at the bottom to be cognizant of, let alone see, the top.

I urge anyone who thinks they have it "figured it out," to keep digging. The rabbit hole is quite deep.

Thanks for the article, Angela.

Let me straighten up your outragous view

"Love triangle"? "Pyramid of knowledge"? Outragous!

It cannot be because there is a strict hirarchy of 'hate' and purpose between religion, government and science. 5000 years of recorded human history have overwhelmingly demonstrated that religion trumps government, which in turns trumps science. Religions have existed since day one, government some 4000 years, and poor science only about 400 years. There can be no question that human fantasy and delusion, the basis of religion, is infinite. Human greed, power, stupidity, the basis of governmment, is only bounded by the laws of physics. While science, the basis of rationality and knowledge, is greatly limited by the meager minds of humanity to exploit knowledge for the construction of tools.

I agree with what you've written

and you've actually understood my point Tom, I think.  I am saying that we have to combine everything that we know about all 3 institutions and to keep progressing with learning in order to find the truth.  I used a pyramid to hopefully demonstrate via a visual image that the knowledge we need to evolve as a species is deep within the combination of doctrines with the combination in equal parts being key.  In regard to a lover's triangular, is there not often drama and turmoil in such a relationship?

Once Upon a Time in Space-Time

"There can be no question that human fantasy and delusion, the basis of religion, is infinite."

But then there can also be no question that human creativity and understanding is infinite. If we see humanity following these "two paths" into the future, then we are left with something of a conundrum. Does one side annihilate the other in a showdown or are we left with humanity taking two different courses into the future?

Let me describe a brief scenario where this would make perfect sense. As we are humans and love opposites, there shall be a White team and a Black team (nothing to do with skin color). There is a catastrophic event that is going to impact the earth - the long awaited Armageddon of some sort. The White side has a bunch of money and decides "see ya suckers" and takes off in their nifty space craft to some inhabitable planet (by means of cryogenics, stargates, or just a really fast ship) with lots of seeds.

The Black team is left behind on earth to fend for themselves. Many die through starvation, war, and disease. But those who do survive have an incredible knack for it and have learned their lesson about what happens when men exploit and kill other men. The most utopian society to date would emerge from the people who were deemed unworthy upon the ship.

Time, and humanity, would split. Never again would the Black team and the White team being interacting in the same and time.. or would they? If the White team is able to pick up or invent some awesome space/time travel device, then they would have the ability to go back into the space and time of the Black Team - and even the space and time of when both teams inhabited the same planet! The Black team would no longer recognize them as humans and might consider them "alien" looking.

This is just a possibility. But when considering the human brain, what isn't? :-)

Correction

"Never again would the Black team and the White team being interacting in the same and time.. or would they?"

There are too many things wrong with that sentence to even attempt to fix it, so I will address the more philosophical aspect:

If Black and White do diverge in space-time, then there would be a legitimate rift. I do not think this rift would be bridgeable, meaning the technologically advanced Whites would not be able to visit the future time of the Blacks. They would only be able to go back to the space and time when they coinhabited the planet because that is the only past of which they are conscious.

This might seem irrelevant, but the implications are grand.
