The price of apathy is fascism and we are now paying that price in America: Allen L Roland

Andrea Gibson is a poet/activist, and winner of the first ever Women of the World Poetry Slam (2008).

She recited her short but powerful poem, "For Eli," at the Peace Isn't Quiet Festival at Hobart and William Smith College two weeks ago. 

A poem dedicated to Eli ~ who recently joined the ranks of the 18 Iraq Veterans who commit suicide every week and have been forgotten by and shunned by both the Cheney/Bush administration and an apathetic Congress and nation.
