"The Founders desperately wanted us to know that we have the power to continue the Revolution....Impeachment is the embodiment of the spirit of the American Revolution." John Nichols explains the historical and Constitutional imperative for Congress to uphold their sworn duty and use the tool of impeachment to rein in the unprecedented power grab of the Bush presidency.

John Nichol's video is good.

Thanks I hadn't seen it before.

He makes the intellectual case for impeachment well. Its not about hating Bush or Cheney but about not allowing precedents and expanded powers to remain to be used against the body politic in future.

He also makes it clear that its for the people to step up now. Impeachment is the peoples perogative. I agree. If the citizens on this watch don't defend their rights then citizens (their children) will be worse off for the failure of this watch.

Citizenship, maintaining the rights of citizenship, is not a free lunch.
