I have been watching Bush's poll numbers carefully, waiting for the inevitable moment that he proves himself the worst President in history by beating Nixon's poll numbers.

That day has <a href="click here unfortunately for him and for the rest of the nation (h/t Think Progress);
Meanwhile, Bush reached an unwelcome record. By 64%-31%, Americans disapprove of the job he is doing. For the first time in the history of the Gallup Poll, 50% say they "strongly disapprove" of the president. Richard Nixon had reached the previous high, 48%, just before an impeachment inquiry was launched in 1974.
Now the race is on to see if he can beat the all-time worst numbers from Truman. My advice, Mr. President? Keep on doing what you're doing if you want that infamous place in history.
