This afternoon, there will be a “Presidential Global Warming Forum” in Los Angeles, sponsored by the League of Conservation voters. It will be held at the Wadsworth Theatre in Brentwood, but I wouldn’t have known about it had I not gotten an e-mail form the Edwards campaign yesterday afternoon, asking me to join a rally outside to show support for the candidate. I am always glad to show my support, but why was this event not previously publicized? As it turns out, it was sold out from the get-go, and is being webcast at http://www2.grist.org/webcast.html beginning today, Nov. 17, at 2:00 pm (PST), 5:00pm (EST). As this is being written at the very last minute, I will reserve further commentary until having watched the event. Whether you can get to it today or not, that website does have a valuable treasure trove of information on the subject.
