Ann Coulter Compares Mexicans to Roaches

Bush's America: Roach Motel: Emblematic of the right-wing’s disgust with George Bush over his putative immigration proposal, Ann Coulter in Human Events compares the immigrating Hispanics to roaches and America to a “roach motel" in her column title. Coulter writes:

Republicans' defense of President Bush's immigration bill is more enraging than their defense of Harriet Miers. Back then, Bush's conservative base was accused of being sexist for opposing an unqualified woman's nomination to the highest court in the land. Now we're racists for not wanting to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

Ann Coulter is nothing more than a bigot

After reading this article by Ms. Ann Coulter I have come to believe that her political position has to be based on the precepts of the KKK.  Bigotry at any level is an abomination.  If her views reflect the thinking of all conservative, right wing Republicans an effort must be made to rid this country of those of her ilk before apartheid becomes the law of the land as it was in South Africa.  By her reasoning anyone who is not a WASP should never be allowed to immigrate to this country. I am quit sure that her ancestry is not Native American so how can she discredit the good that those of diverse ancestry have done for this nation and are still doing so.  The Chinese doctor that saved my son’s life should never have been able to come to this country to be educated and become a skilled surgeon by her way of thinking.  My wife’s Korean doctor should have stayed where she was born and not been available to treat her when she went into respiratory failure.  The wonderful lady, from the Philippines, who is working with my autistic grandson, should not be here to do her magic.

She speaks to the plot to attack JFK airport and the fuel lines by people from other countries but seems to forget that people of WASP ancestry have perpetrated horrendous acts in this country.  Remember Oklahoma City, school shootings, serial killers, executives of Enron and other notable crimes against the our citizenry all done by her beloved WASPS.  She not attacks ethnicity but also religious beliefs in her tirade and any entity that publishes her promulgations has the warped beliefs as she does.

I spend 50/70 hours a week reading.  I ride a scooter as my preferred transport.  Politically I think the center is more right than not.  I think that the job of the fanatics, both right and left is to try and pull the center there way.  I pull to the right.  To sum up, I think Bush is doing great.

Thats not what she said!

Michael Leons take of Ann Coulters piece on immigration.  Bush's America: Roach Motel is typically leftist as it is totally miss representing what she said.  At no point did she call Mexicans roaches.  What she did say is this; “You can leave the country, you can renounce your citizenship -- but you still owe taxes for 10 years. The government does not allow us to stop supporting welfare recipients in America, millions more of whom it plans to import under Bush's bill. That's not a free market -- it's a roach motel.”  Bush's America: Roach Motel by Ann Coulter.  Her comment is about what America is becoming with its open border nightmare.  I personally think Ann is right 98% of the time.  It’s just that Leftists have no tolerance for opposing points of view.  As a matter of fact progressives are the first to try to stop debate and close off canals of communication for people with different points of view.  Note al gores the debate is over on global warming bullshit.

Hmmm

Who exactly is checking into the "Roach Motel"? Werewolves? No, she is talking about Mexicans, in the context of the immigration bill. You cannot dispute that.
As for my ideas in this debate, the scope of my piece is simply calling Mexicans "roaches" is repulsive.
Bush's America: Roach Motel

What's your problem? What are you from Texas or something?

Mexicans/Latinos

I am a Catholic. I married a girl from Guatemala. I went and lived in Guatemala for almost a decade. I learned the language and saw the culture.

Guatemalan's have a joke about the Mexicans. It goes something like this: "Why did Hitler persecute the Jews? The reason Hitler persecuted the Jews is because he never met a Mexican."

The Latino culture is an enemy of the Protestant Ethic and everything America stands for. My experiences in Latin America have taught me to tell my American brothers, for our own good kick the illegals out of the country. The only thing the culture has advanced to the cutting edge are in the black arts like kidnapping, extortion, drug dealing, gangs, crime...Their idea of how to create wealth comes from Hernan Cortez...or who do we steal it from.

It reminds me of a recent trip back to Guatemala. I told my Chapin friend I couldn't believe how many Latinos are in America now. His response said it all:

"Poor the United States." He said.
