Primaries are just around the corner and most of America has been left out of the equation - well at least in terms of making votes matter. If you live in early primary states like Iowa, New Hampshire, or even South Carolina, Florida or Michigan, consider yourself lucky.

If you don't live in one of the early states, don't worry. The National Presidential Caucus (www.nationalcaucus.com) is trying to bring citizen opinion back into the primary system and level the playing field. 5 million self-appointed citizens shook up the primaries in 2004 by organizing and participating in uncountable local political “Meetups.” And NPC is out to shake things up again.

The idea is this: Before the primaries take place, NPC is organizing a National Straw Poll on Nov. 9th and a National Caucus Day on Dec 7th . It’s simple, and really easy to do. It’s as simple as getting some friends, family, or just like-minded people together to discuss about issues and candidates that matter to YOU, not talking points, not what the mainstream media thinks is important. Then, caucus organizers will post the results at www.nationalcaucus.com where all the results from across the nation will be tallied.

See if there are any caucuses planned in your area. If not, create one to host - http://www.nationalcaucus.com/caucus_search. If you want just email NPC

Make sure your voice is heard - participate in the National Presidential Caucus.
