With ‘Friends’ Like the Republicans Who Needs Enemies?

There are 49 Republicans in the U.S. Senate who figure they can slide an AMNESTY bill by the American people because it’s being passed off as somehow tough on illegal immigration.

It’s astounding that those representing a party that claims to be tough on illegal immigration are pushing some of the most damaging pieces of immigration legislation yet… and two of those pushing hardest are Republican presidential hopefuls for ’08, Senators McCain and Brownback.

It appearsthe only pro-secure borders party in the country at this point is the Constitution Party. The Jackasses and Pachyderms along with the Libertarians and Greens are all going along with a de facto open borders mentality.

GOP Senators are fully aware that Americans are fed up with the crisis of the illegal invasion and that enforcement is the key issue. That being said, it appears the Republicans in the Senate are willing to vote for pro-amnesty bills because they have the appearance of being tough on enforcement.Not so.The immigration bills now before the Senate would reward more than 12 million illegal aliens with citizenship simply for making a cursory trip back to Mexico then returning to continue to claim all the benefits American citizens can claim.

Despite rhetoric painting immigration reform legislation as “enforcement first” bills, in reality current measures let illegals stay and work despite having broken the law and are shameless bones thrown to appease business’ greed for cheap labor.

No wonder the Republicans have lost the confidence of their base. If the GOP continues on course to ignore the wishes of the overwhelming majority of Americans on this issue, what choice will Americans have but to vote for a party in ’08 that doesn’t need to be asked:

“What part of ‘No Amnesty’ don’t these guys understand?”

Whoa Don't Forget You Also Have 50 Democrat US Senators Most Of Whom also favor Passing An Illegal Alien Amnesty, Better Know as "The George W Bush-Amnesty John McCain-Teddy Kennedy Leave No Illegal Alien Behind And Massive Federal Giveaway Program!" And you also have the Dimwit Donkey Party in the US House and their Misleader The Boxtox Beauty Queen Looney Toons Madame Speaker Nutty Nancy Pelosi Also Trying To Sneak Illegal Alien Amnesty by us as well,in case you were not paying attention!

Amnesty

Loved your response. No, I haven't forgotten about the D's in all of this..it's just that at least w them you KNOW you're going to get open borders.... The R's pretend they're tough on immigration and then try and pass this off as "Securing the Borders'(that while border patrol agnts rot in jail for doing their job)

And we also need to remember and address the issue of what drives the Illegal Immigration Market,and which is organizations like our "Cheap Labor"US Chamber of Commerce and other Cheap Labor Business and Industry that are too dang greedy to pay our own American workers a decent wage to live on,but prefer to commit,as I call it,"Economic Treason" on us and American Workers!
