Expanding the Base for 2008 - Our democracy is in a State of Emergency. How do we wake people up to this reality?
How do we move from talking among ourselves, to the wider community? Can we move from talk to action in time for the Presidential primaries?

Special Guests:
Bob Koehler, award-winning syndicated columnist and editor for Tribune Media Services

David Earnhardt, producer, director and writer of the film "UNCOUNTED: The New Math of American Elections."

TONIGHT on
Voice of the Voters

Writer Bob Koehler (www.smallwonders.com) speaks with guest host Lori Rosolowsky about his newspaper and online columns, which he describes as a "wedge of outrage into the mainstream media". He'll discuss the role of free speech in democracy, how individuals can influence the media, and how they indeed can and must "become the media" if we are to have a "dialogue with America."

Then host Mary Ann Gould speaks with film producer David Earnhardt (www.UncountedTheMovie.com) about his 2007 documentary "UNCOUNTED: The New Math of American Elections," which provides stunning coverage of how "American voters were cheated during the 2004 and 2006 elections--and why it will likely happen in 2008." He'll highlight tools for using his film to propel citizens to reach out to a wider community, and the "power of one" individual to make a difference. He and Mary Ann will discuss a new initiative to help achieve these goals.

John Gideon (www.Votersunite.org) will join us for a weekly update at the end of the hour.
