October 5 - No Work, No School, Protest In The Streets
World Can't Wait
http://worldcantwait.net/index.php

"On October 5, people everywhere will walk out of school, take off work, and come to the downtowns & townsquares and set out from there, going through the streets and calling on many more to join us - making a powerful statement: "NO! THIS REGIME DOES NOT REPRESENT US! AND WE WILL DRIVE IT OUT!""

-----

I just joined the movement, World Can't Wait, that is quoted above, and I think it is a great idea. Finally, something we can do to show our support for our constitution and our freedom and DRIVE OUT THE BUSH REGIME!

Plaster your town with World Can't Wait flyers: The Call

Find an event in your area, or host one yourself: Event Listings

Tell your friends, local high schools and universities: Sample Letter To Professors

Sponsor an ad for your local newspaper: Organizing Material

Please cover this in the news, nationwide. We need more American news people to help us "Stand For The Truth". (Special thanks to Opednews.com for carrying the story.)

TELL EVERYONE, if you can't join the protest for the whole day, show your support by wearing BLACK all day and join the others later. It works for effect as when people wonder why everyone is in black, you can enlighten them! (My idea, not part of the site information.)

I was out all weekend handing out flyers.. PEOPLE LOVE THE IDEA.. at least most of them, some get very angry, so, just leave them alone. Support our troops and honor their service. If you talk to them, be respectful, some will listen, some will not. If they are open to it, remind them that their oath is to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" first, before any other oaths. Army Oaths

Tell them that is what we are doing. We are working to support the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bush Regime is working to dismantle that very same constitution.

High school students love the idea of protesting (and getting off school) as do some college professors. People feel empowered - at least they can do SOMETHING NOW!

Consider keeping your teens home from school so they can protest and/or write about and film the protests. Democracy in action... what better teacher. (If they go to school and try to walk out, the schools might go into "lock down", then they could be stuck there for the day.)

You can find permission forms here: Permission Slips For High School Students

So TELL EVERYONE, plaster your town with World Can't Wait flyers, wear black and meet and march peacefully. There is no better time, as war with Iran is too close for comfort and I say, "NOT IN MY NAME".
