Democrats Do Have Plan(S)

What Democrats must begin to do before the November election every time they have an interview or speech is to EMPHASIZE THE PHRASE, WE HAVE A PLAN(S), SOLUTIONS and then proceed to explain what the plans are.  We must emphasize that the Republicans have the power and shoot down our plans offered on the floor. There should be a mass commercial expressing this point, Democrats have plans and solutions and here they are.

Dems do have a plan, but the Republicans like to repeat over and over, that we do not have plans and so you have to repeat over and over WE HAVE A PLAN.  You have to disarm them with their own words and use slogans as the American public has a short attention span, some.  But you must emphasize, and the party be on one page, and start a campaign, that WE HAVE A PLAN.

2) We must continue to emphasize, Iraq is not war on Terror but takes away from the real war on terror.

3) We must emphasize Democrats will keep you safer as we will address those issues outlined in the 911 Commission that still have not been implemented and are crucial to Homeland Security.

4) We must emphasize the occupation in Iraq and the funds spent there hurt the American economy and growth of jobs by not concentrating on our problems.

5) We should use Senator Barak Obama more in those campaigns of Democrats who need that extra boost, as he has a way to express these ideas and is very charismatic.

A concerned citizen who works in the legal field.

"THE PARTY WITH THE BEST RECORD OF SERVING REPUBLICAN ECONOMIC VALUES IS THE DEMOCRATS, AND IT ISN'T EVEN CLOSE!" -Michael Kingsley-

1). FEDERAL SPENDING: since 1960 Republicans increased Federal Spending by 71% more than have Democrats

2). FEDERAL DEBT: since 1960 Republicans have increased the National debt by 100% more per year than have Democrats.

3). GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT: since 1921, adjusted for inflation, Democrats outproduce Republicans by 43% . Starting in 1940 the Democratic advantage is 23% better.

4). REAL PER CAPITA INCOME: since 1960 Democrats have outperformed Republicans by 30%. (This is perhaps the most important economic statistic of all)

5). INFLATION: since 1960, Democrats outperform Republicans 3.13% to 3.89%

6). UNEMPLOYMENT: since 1960 it decreases in an average Democratic year by 0.3% to 5.33%, and increases in average Republican year by 1.1% to 6.38%.

7). JOB CREATION: from 1945 to 2003, Democrats produced 174,200 jobs per month, Republicans have only produced 60,600 per month. Every time a Democrat succeeds a Republican, job creation soars. Every time a Republican succeeds a Democrat job creation plummets. NO EXCEPTIONS!

8). DOW JONES AVERAGE: since 1921 the DOW has increased by 52% more under Democratic administrations

9). THE BOND MARKET: since 1940 the value of 10 year Treasury bonds rose 1.2% under Democrats and fell 0.5% under Republicans

What kind of "plans" are those?

You have no "plans", these are just doing the opposite of what this maniac we have now IS doing. You can't win elections by just being "against" another party. This is the reason I left the Democratic Party. Name what they are going to do about:
Campaign Reform (They wont bite the coprporate and special interest hands that feed them, what about taxpayer based campaign financing?)
National Heathcare (again, they won't go against the Trial lawyers, the AMA and other medical special interests lobbys)
What about rescinding the Patriot Act?
What about respecting The Geneva Conventions?
What about Seperation of Church and State?
What about the illegal occupation of Iraq?
What about the 10 Million Illegal Aliens?
What about the largest concentration of incarcerated people of any country in the world?
These are the REAL questions. The only vision that the Democrats have is a hatred of the right. I have yet to see democrats get together and say anything in unison. The democrats will not regain power by repeating that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. They are winging it, just as Kerry did in 2004. He couldn't beat a President that could do NOTHING right. That was because he had no plan of his own. Do you want a plan? I'll give you a plan. Do what the average middle class wants you to do, not corporate America and special interst groups. Get yourselves a conscience and maybe you'll be able to save the Democrats instead of telling the neo-cons that what they do is wrong. WE ALL KNOW WHAT IT IS THEY ARE DOING IS WRONG! The things you wrote about is demcratic pap. It WON"T win the elections. If I were able to talk to the Democratic leadership, I could tell them what the people want. Sadly they won't listen to me, I am not rich, and well-connected. I'm just an ordinary guy that they talk down to like I was a six year old.

THE DEMOCRATS HAVE A PLAN

If the democrats have a plan for Iraq, and thats all- its pretty pathetic. Any government has to have a plan for most of the following, and most of these institutions need to be nationalized if there is to be democracy. Otherwise, the "government" cannot be considered a serious one.___________________________________________________

Democrats Do Really Have Plan?

yeah right, the democrats have big plans, but they are keeping them all secret so the republicans wont still them, like they always do. so it appears the democrats stood by while the republicans played good cop-bad cop with the torture/interrogation issue which just gave g.w.bush another great photo-op without a single democrat in the picture. sure, they have a plan but its secret.
