Dear Sir/Madam:
Tuesday, November 6, 2007, while the House of Representatives was voting on the resolution put forward by Rep. Kucinich and twenty-one other members to impeach the Vice President of the United States, C-SPAN had its viewing audience lectured by one Mr. Epstein emphasizing how ridiculous the proposed bill was.
C-SPAN is supposed to be a public service broadcaster.
Is there any public citizen protection from the continuous promotion of war seen and heard on all the commercially leased airwaves and as the above cited on public service channels and stations. Please advise as to any further action that would be possible for those of us suffering the constant unethical and surely illegal pro-war propaganda and intentional deceptive highlighting and repeating false fears while blacking out historical context of the selections of news presented.
Thanking in advance for any consideration given to our request, Appreciatively, Jay Janson Veterans For Peace, New York City Chapter and Peace Task Force, All Souls Church, Lexington Avenue and 81st Street, NYC, 10021

Of course C-Span mentioned it; their reason for being is televising congressional sessions. The anomaly is that they provided opinionated commentary, which is completely inappropriate.

This was simply a high profile stunt to boost his standing in the polls. It was never going to work.
What did you expect all the politicians to suddenly see the same burning Bush (religious pun intended) and change their pragmatic interests?
Much as I abhor the Bush administration for what it has done One needs to be realistic. Think about the ship of state it takes miles to turn arround and in the wrong circumstances can be easily sunk AND THAT'S NOT IN ANYONE'S INTERESTS. I know it's an inadequate thing to say but the best tools in politics are patience, doggedness and realism.

That attitude is precisely what has allowed these goons to escape accountability. It's lazy, selfish and the ship of state has already run aground. So how long do YOU want to wait? When your neighbors get hauled off for expressing an opinion that differs from the "Party line"? If your teenaged son or daughter gets busted for some piddling thing and you can't find them because the government doesn't want to tell where they are? When Cheney and his Neo-con accomplices start World War III? </p><p>You're already seeing the results of Cheney's adventurism: higher and higher gas prices, heating oil costs, the compromising of Constitutional guarantees. Treason is a serious charge and Cheney and his office have compromised our national security by making it more difficult to guage the nuclear capability of Iran, not to mention the carelessness in safeguarding certain national security leaks and spoiling the anti-terrorism efforts of British investigations and his fingerprints are all over the Minot-Barksdale cruise missile fiasco. So let's wait to see if the Idiot B***tard Son will push the button? Not me.
