We won the war against Japan in WWII and we still occupy Japan. After dropping the atomic bomb and driving the people into submission, after over 60 years, America still occupies Japan. Japan never had Oil resources, coal deposits, or anything of value we needed, except one thing. It was in Asia and it would become America’s military launching pad.
Shortly after America used the bomb on Japan, Russia announced it had the bomb. America policy was formed around that announcement. It was thought that America needed to remain in Japan as a base against the Communists Russians, and the newly formed Communist Chinese. It was only a matter of time before China announced it had a nuclear weapon, and that cemented America to the Japanese pavement for years to come. We also still occupy S. Korea. How can we think it will be any different with Iraq?
Iraq does not have a real Iraqi government now, and the argument that they didn't have one with Saddam is certainly not true. After all at one time we supported him with weapons of mass destruction. Ronald Reagan, Bush Sr., and Donald Rumsfeld, all supported Iraq to fight Iran.
Are we stupid in thinking Saddam would not realize his troops were dying for America causes, whose enemy was Iran? What was America giving Iraq to wage war against Iran? Nothing. America gave him only weapons, and death. Sure looks like a good reason why Saddam wanted Kuwait returned to his homeland.
Are we ignorant to think this puppet, American appointed government in Iraq will quell the violence? How are Iraqis to believe that they were not forced to vote, or be killed? A lot were killed!
In comparison, the script Saddam was following was American made. He didn't like his troops dying for American Wars; so in payment, he even asked George Bush if he could have Kuwait back? The answer became no, and now America is doing even more damage and killing than Saddam ever did!
Compare that to all the troops he lost during the Iran War when they were going to war at the request of the United States government. I bet some of the same Iraqi troops who lived after fighting the war for America against Iran, died at the hands of American troops, on the road of death, on the march to Baghdad!
What is the difference between finding Saddam mass graves and Americas massacre in Fallujha? Isn’t Fallujha like Nagasaki and Hiroshima in Japan? Isn’t shock and awe a way to break the will of decent people like was done in Japan? Saddam was protecting the Iraq government with weapons from the US. He was stopping Civil War Turks called Kurds from taking Iraq land. He was stopping assassination plots against himself. Strange how George Bush Jr. said, "Bring em on, he tried to kill my dad"!
I just know more people have died from America's involvement in Iraq, than the crimes they are charging against Saddam today. It has been America's doings since the CIA installed the Shah in Iran! Are we really supporting the good guys? George Bush and GUN?
Bush is promising Oil to the Iraqi people. Is that intended to be a consolation prize if they agree to the occupation? Oil is not going to uplift the people in Iraq! It is the pretext, the reason, and the war. Why would they want it now? Why would they want to sell to the American government who killed their loved ones, who are occupying their country and never leave?
Americans plan only to take it, with the help of Iraqis under the gun by American forces in Iraq. Do we really think Iraqi people want to be uplifted from the money from the Oil sales, knowing that the Americans are the ones who killed their family?
I can see the Iraqi people now saying well they killed all our aunts and uncles, and our children, the old shoe peddler, and his wife because of Oil. And now they want us to agree with their phony government, and forget about the lives of our family, as we are forced to accept the idea that our Oil, stolen from us, for sale to America is going to make us happy and better?
Americans; hey thanks for killing my family, now we have everything from the American occupiers, including Democrazy.
This is such a terrible scenario I just gag on my own large intestines. I know if I was an Iraqi; I would never accept it. I would never give up until the American government left. Not only in Iraq, but the entire Middle East. Osama Bin Ladin was right, that American forces should leave Saudi Arabia.
And I will never believe that he was capable of orchestrating 911. That was clearly a Bush and Enron Pearl Harbor II; designed to rally support for this false war. It was a plan in taking Oil, and forging ahead their corrupt plan for American dominance in the world.

I'm glad to read this. You had me worried when I read the article about why the government had to do 9/11. I don't think I got your title right, but as a satire showing the mindset of those who played a part, I think it was effective.

Hey Thanks Sleeper, and that is how I meant to convey The Secret Government Reasons for 911. I am not advocating that it was a good idea, but trying to understand the possible motive, and thinking process the NeoCons look at. I have seen so many articles and conjectures that the Bush Administration was behind 911, but nothing about how they would justify such an act. They know the difference of right and wrong, and I think this 911 act if done by them was probably thought out on this type of reasoning and justification.
Also I am working to try and present more of a balance perspective in my writing. I want to write Pro-Anti Bush and Pro-Bush perspectives. This is how I think establishes our Judicial balance between right wing and Left wing.
So far in America all we have are media outlets that only support one or the other. I think that is a problem, because then nobody can identify to what the positive goal is, and that in my opinion is in the middle, or a moderate stand. Of course I could write moderate articles that reflect both positions, but to me that creates a weak picture, so I do my balancing by showing strictly left, then another strictly right. Unfortunately Rob and the writers Editors here do not know this, and they reject my Pro-Right articles.
At one time I thought Rob wanted this site to be as I have mentioned. That is a balanced site, with Pro-and Anti articles. But recently I see it is only catering to the Left and I find that disturbing. In reality I think we gain nothing by being one sided. We as a people need to realize that we as individuals need to be both Republican and Democrat to solve our nations problems. We can not be one or the other, or we will constantly fail.
Think of it like Jesus on the cross. His Left hand stretches toward the hate of the nail. His Right hand stretches toward the hate of the nail. He is pulling us to the center toward his body of love, compassion, understanding, mentally and physically. You see he supports both, and likewise we should also recognize this. It is not hypocrisy, as I originally thought, it is cohesiveness, and balance to our governmental body.
When we see the Sun in the sky, that burning light, we ofter say thank God for a sunnyday. But that Sun is really a deadly hell fire, we certainly so not want to get any closer to do we. And Away from the sun is nothing but space, with big rocks floating around called planets. Most of them are pretty darn cold, something we don't want to get to near of. Yet in between is Earth the middle, the living, the life, the place and space where the body of humanity either pulls together for our purpose, or we continually divide. I think we as writers and people have a responsibility to know we have to be balancers in our writing, not dividers. This is how things change and animosity is disengaged.
I hope you may understand what I am talking about, and why I have been writing these things, for they are definitely on my mind. Peace.

I think in that light the things you write are very valuable. All of us have a multitude of thought processes that we can use to respond to any circumstance.
In 1983 I did not want to go to Beirut, but I believed someone had to go as Peacekeepers. I had enlisted and thats the way it worked out. In late August and early September we came under fire many times after the Israelis pulled out. I was sent back to the Uss Iwo Jima mid September believing our cause was just. On October 23,1983 I unloaded strechers from our helocopters. There were hundreds of wounded Marines. This has been blamed on Hezbollah and still may have been their work, but our government has not been straight forward with its intelligence.
The blast was caused by RDX Rag Bombs that Hezbollah had no access to. We had officials who were selling arms to Iranian interrests all through the 80's. I don't know what to believe, but I'm learning that if you believe the worst about the powers that make the decissions in our Government you are by far closer to the truth then you are if you believe what they tell you.
I applied for a disability claim for PTSD back in 1993 after going through a diviorce. I was denied because even though the counselors that I had seen stated that I had many symptoms of PTSD no one validated any of my testimony with evidence like guard logs or logs kept by the officers of the day or any official record. The descission stated that they did not dispute that I had experienced something because my DD214 stated that I did receive a Combat Action Ribbon, but that was not sufficient to grant my claim.
If Someone is disabled shouldn't there be some authority that insures that something this basic to a claim gets covered? I don't know. I believe that anyone who serves the call for ideals such as defending the Constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic deserves more. These irresponsible brats who mock the ideals that men risk their lives to serve deserve to be held accountable. They veiw the soldiers as suckers for them to use and discard. May they reap what they Sow.

I hear you sleeper. That is one of the most difficult jobs any American does, and that is going to war. I know if I was in combat I would never accept a ribbon, I would not seek some sort of pat on the back; because it in my opinion diminishes my hard work. It's like saying I did it, for that. Of course I didn't do it for that. I did it for my own mind and purpose in defending freedom and supporting others who respond the same. A soldier is the truest Patriot who has to kill in order to stay alive and defend the interests of the country. In reality if we are hurting it does no good to seek relief. But what does happen is truely magnificient, and that is people see the burden and pain you endure, and they come forward to help and take away the pain that you carry. In fact that is the way it should be. Not legislative ideas that guarantee painkillers, such as government VET programs. I think more care would be given to Vets if they were not connected to government benefits. Indeed if we fight to end government controls and tyranny, how does it make sense to support it in our own system? That is why I feel a depth of gratitude to Vets, and I bet Doctors would provide free care to take care of you and hero's like you, without some government program. Take heart..it is not over..and I think you are a hero.
I know what your saying about some bad things going on, like officials selling arms to Iran back then. Hell the problem still exists, when government auctions are selling military surplus to Iran. They are aware of it now, but to think this stuff is still going on is mind boggling.
Also consider this persective about N.Korea. Strange that Bush wants to develop mini nuke bunker busters right? Then N.Korea explodes a mini atomic bomb. What the hell is really going on? All we know Bush is suppoting N.Korea to build mini nuke busters to get ready to hit Iran. Did you see the CBS story on the guy who defected to N.Korea? What the hell are they covering this guy for? They give stories and are planning to make a movie on this guy, but soldiers who serve honorably they are treated like you? Terrible I think. But who knows. I do not think they are using us. We still have a volunteer military, and should be the first signal that we are working for a just purpose. The moment the Draft is reintroduced then I would begin to believe we are being used and discarded.
