Ouch. This is not a good thing. Slander is a unforgivable offense. She will pay dearly for this in the Polls.

Hillary Campaign Acknowledges That County Chair Backing Hillary Passed Along Obama Muslim Smear Email

Quote:

A day after the Hillary campaign hit the Obama camp for bullying voters in nasty phone calls, the Hillary crew has just acknowledged that an Iowa county chair volunteering for the campaign passed along the now-notorious email that smears Obama as a Muslim by repeating the false claim that he attended a madrassa as a child.

The Hillary campaign confirms that they are asking the county chair to step down from the campaign.

The infamous e-mail is this:

*Subject:* **Who is Barack Obama?**

*_Most_* of this appears to be true! *I shutter to
think!! *Scary guy!
**We checked this out on ’snopes.com’. It is factual.
Check for yourself. ***
*

If you do not ever forward anything else, please forward
this to all your contacts…this is very scary to think of what lies ahead of us here in our own United States…better heed this and pray
about it and share it.

THIS DEFINITELY WARRANTS LOOKING INTO. THIS COUNTRY WAS
FOUNDED, ‘ONE NATION UNDER GOD’. ALMIGHTY GOD, NOT THE GOD OF THE
KORAN.

We checked this out on ’snopes.com’. It is factual.
Check for yourself.

Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein
Obama was born in Honolulu , Hawaii , to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel , Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHEIST from Wichita , Kansas .

Obama’s parents met at the University of Hawaii . When
Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father
returned to Kenya . His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia . When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia . Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta . He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a
Muslim. He is quick to point out that, ‘He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school.’

Obama’s political handlers are attempting to make it
appear that Obama’s introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son’s education.

Conservative prolife anti-death penalty tree hugger. Believe that less government is good government, government cannot solve anyone's personal problems, the government taking money from one group of people and giving it to another group of people is a crime, and that people should take responsibility for their own lives.

Shocked

I am shocked.  How can this happen?  We all love and respect the Clinton's and know that she will say like she always does in such situations like that she did not know about this.  I believe her.  She has never lied or misled us before.  She did, after all, write a touching book, It Takes a Village.  I am shocked she has someone like this on her staff.  Has she fired this person and the person responsible for hiring her yet?

Retire high school English teacher. Grandmother of eight grandchildren, six of them Muslim. Love to travel. Have been to Russia, Spain, Morocco, Crete and Santorini, Cosumel and Chichen Itza. Alas, not enough places. However, the ocean anywhere satisfies the soul.

A smear against Muslim-Americans

It seems to me that this article, as well as the email, is a smear against Muslim-Americans. To smear someone is to damage the person's reputation by a false accusation. The author of this article implies that to call someone a Muslim is to damage his/her reputation. Barack Obama is not a Muslim, so it IS false information. But why should it be a smear?

I understand that the intent of the email writer was a blatant attempt to smear Obama by appealing to bigots. But the insidious part of this whole thing about whether Obama is a Muslim is this:  even some apparently well-meaning people say something such as "Obama was smeared by John Doe, who sent around an email calling him a Muslim." They are implying that to call a person a Muslim is to smear the person. That is an insidious level of prejudice.

Do some of you remember JFK's famous line as he stood at the Berlin wall: "I bin ein Berliner."  (I am a citizen of Berlin.) In four words he caused people like himself and all Americans to picture being one of the people who were trapped in Soviet East Berlin. (and yes, I know people made jokes that it could mean I am a jelly donut)

How many of us are willing to say, in the spirit of JFK's stance, when someone is attempting to smear Muslim-Americans, "I am a Muslim."
