The film "Hacking Democracy" was nominated for an Emmy for Best Investigative Reporting, with lead researcher for the film Russell Michaels, and producers Simon Ardizzone, Robt. Cohen and Sarah Teale of Teale-Edwards Productions. It features the work of Black Box Voting; the awards are in NYC Sept. 21. We are wrapping up a series of investigations in Appalachian and rural locations, called the "Moonshine Elections" series, and we are beginning investigations for the next series, which we'll call "Godfather Elections." It will deal with elections in areas that have a history of organized crime and also areas where the economy is heavily tied to gambling.
