People in positions of public trust that aren’t afraid to take a stand in defense of the rights of the people they serve deserve recognition, and a big THANK YOU! Therefore, we at the PPJ are proud to announce a new project called the PPJ Hero of the Month. If you know someone who deserves to be recognized, please let us know!

The PPJ Hero of the Month for March, 2008, is Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer for his courageous stand in rejecting the Real ID. If you have not heard him give Homeland Security a piece of his mind, here is the LINK.

Montana Governor

Brian Schweitzer

PPJ Hero of the Month

Quote: “Thanks for playing, Montana’s not in.”

Thank you, Governor Schweitzer, for telling it like it is, and standing up for what is right. We the people salute you!

Barbara H. Peterson is retired from the California Department of Corrections, where she worked as a Correctional Officer at Folsom Prison. She was one of the first females to work at the facility in this classification. After retirement, she went to college online to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Business, and graduated with honors. The most valuable thing she received from her time with UOP was a realization that her life's passion is writing. Now her business degree sits in her desk drawer, and she counts herself in the category of Writer/Activist. Someday she will make money writing, but that is not why she does it. "I do it because I must. A driving force compels me to reach out to others with what I learn about the condition we the people are in, and that is what I devote my time to. After all, time is the most precious thing we have, and the older I get the more I want to use it wisely." Barbara lives on a small ranch in Oregon with her husband, where they raise geese, chickens, Navajo Churro sheep, Oggie Dog, a variety of cats, and an opinionated Macaw named Rita. She believes that self-sufficiency and localization of food sources will be necessary to survive the coming depression. To this end, she has put up a website to share information at: http://survivingthemiddleclasscrash.wordpress.com. Her philosophy is this: You are on this earth for a reason - to fight for the light. Your words are swords that penetrate the darkness with truth and light. You have a purpose.

SW Texas ultra-liberal
john riggsSW Texas ultra-liberal

Now the arm twisting begins

Withdrawal of federal funds and threats from the dual-passport and dual-loyalty chertoff. Sanctions like the ones used on Iraq would not surprise me.

Here in Texas we have the Bilderberg poster boy Rick Perry giving our infrastructure to foreigners. It must be nice to have a governor that indeed represents his state and its people. Hats off to Mr. Schwietzer,we will see how long he can hold out vs. Godzilla.

I am a college graduate, a loyal patriot of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, a person whose convictions and pessimism drive my thought invoking others to think, and enjoy some politcal debate. I like truth even if it doesn't set you "free" in this US of A any longer. I am a liberal.
I do a bit of painting mostly in Acrylic. I do a bit of poetry writng mostly inspired by tragic thought. I do a ton of reading, mostly online. I speak straightforwardly and don't plan on changing. It's wor...

My Governor

This is my wonderful Governor and he even persuaded our Republican representative in congress to "go along" with it. Many don't like him here mainly just because he is a "Democrap". He has done a great job but they find everything they can to pick him apart.

One thing that begins THIS month is we aren't allowed to fly out of the state now without a Passport. I don't have one but I don't fly on planes. My broom works just fine (heh heh).

They are doing some big audit on him but he has done no wrong. He even took the low end salary. He has a great energy plan but being the state is a RED state, he hasn't sold them on it.

He is up for election this year. I salute you Brian!!!!!

Red vs Blue

It is time people woke up from the Red vs Blue slumber and took a stand for real issues, like this Governor has. As long as we continue to buy into the fight between supposedly warring factions of the same beast, we will never get hold of what is really happening. By the way, my broom works just fine too! In fact, Montana is looking pretty good to me right now, that is, if I decide to move anywhere :)

This is really bothering me

This month? March? The RealID is not even available yet, and your Montana driver's license is invalid for identification for flying? Please e-mail me with more information using the "contact the author" button. Thanks!

Wow

Where was this guy when we were picking presidential candidates? Oh that's right, we don't pick presidential candidates, the king makers do.

There was not ONE desenting vote in Montana, (Democrat or Republica) in favor of this phony ID. What a breath of fresh air. As the good governor said, "We play along for awhile and then tell them to go to hell."

I have an I.D., I'm a natural born citizen, veteran, productive member of society, no criminal record and I don't need no stinkin' badge.

Barb, you made my day!
