Recently appointed Co-Chair of the New York State Board of Elections, Doug Kellner has been hard at work bringing New York State's voting machines up to code in time to honor the federal deadlines laid out in the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). New York State is currently the worst state in the nation in terms of compliance with HAVA. Mr. Kellner will tell us what remains to be done to ensure that every vote is counted in the next election.
