This morning I phoned a guy to enquire about prices for the following items. I did this having, like many, become curious of the recent upsurge in inflation. The central bank boss put the figure at 2.2 million percent. I estimate it at about 11.8 million percent. Anyway, here are the shockers.
Cell sim card = US$140 yes US dollars!!!!!!!! Lobels' Loaf of Bread = US$5 2 litres cooking oil = US$59 200 square metres high density stand = US$3500 400 square metres medium density stand = US$15 000 And the shocker...Apple's Iphone (not the latest 3G one) = US$1350 And an old house in a low density suburb of Marlbourough = US$135 000
To simplify things US$1 = Z$5 trillion which means the majority of these workers are earning less than a dollar a month. Now my point is, guys, our country has collapsed. The situation is untenable and will take generations to change. I therefore ask everyone, Zimbabwean or friends, to help us stop the madness that has become our nation by declaring Zimbabwe a WORLD DISASTER. We have a responsibility of securing the future of our children in a free and equal opportunity Zimbabwe. That society should be one where every citizen can exercise their constitutional right to be human. Such a society can only begin by removing the rot that has been inflicted upon us by those who claim to have freed us.
So the question is and will remain. How do we remove these bastards? Some will say through talks about talks of talks of unity. My question is whose unity? Who is fighting? Do I want unity? No I want a free and fair society. I want the freedom to choose. I want the freedom to remove Zanu PF through the ballot box. Freedom must come by any means necessary and a Government of National Unity is not a means to and end. For that reason I applaud Tsvangirai for not signing any MOU. What Zimbabwe needs and will alway need are free and fair elections.
PLEASE PASS THE WORD ON- Our leaders have broadband, access to state media, while we the poor have to deal with this disgusting sytem and have to blog our way to make a point.

Zimbabwe does not belong to you or to Mugabe,let alone does it belong to the white settlers or to the British or the americans. It does not belong to Tsvangirai and certainly not his backers.
Mugabe has said Zimbabwe will never be a colony again. You sound like someone who wants Zimbabwe to be returned to british rule, as it most certainly will under Tsvangirai. Guess who funds him the US/UK/Australia.
'The British, the US and the former Rhodesians have used two instruments to try to overthrow Zimbabwe’s revolution: The opposition party Movement for Democratic Change, and civil society. The MDC was founded in September 1999 in response to Harare announcing it would expropriate Rhodesian farms for redistribution to landless black families. The party was initially bankrolled by the British government’s Westminster Foundation for Democracy and other European governments, including Germany, through the Social Democratic Party’s Friedrich Ebert Foundation (Ebert having been the party leader who conspired with German police officials to have Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht murdered, to smother an emerging socialist revolution in Germany in 1918.) Party leader Morgan Tsvangirai, who had been elevated from his position as secretary-general of the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions to champion the West’s counter-revolutionary agenda within Zimbabwe, acknowledged in February 2002 that the MDC was financed by European governments and corporations, which funneled money through British political consultants, BSMG. [5] Today, the government of Zimbabwe charges NGOs with acting as conduits through which Western governments pass money to the opposition party.
The MDC’s orientation is decidedly toward people and forces of European origin. South African-based journalist Peta Thornycroft, hardly a Mugabe supporter, lamented in an interview on Western government-sponsored short wave radio SW Africa that:
‘When the MDC started in 2000, what a pity that they were addressing people in Sandton, mostly white people in Sandton north of Johannesburg instead of being in Dar es Salaam or Ghana or Abuja. They failed to make contact with Africa for so long. They were in London, we’ve just seen it again, Morgan Tsvangirai’s just been in America. Why isn’t he in Cairo? Maybe he needs financial support and he can’t get it outside of America or the UK and the same would go for (leader of an alternative MDC faction, Arthur) Mutambara. They have not done enough in Africa. [6]
A look at the MDC’s program quickly reveals why the party’s leaders spend most of their time traipsing to Western capitals calling for sanctions and gathering advice on how to overthrow the Mugabe government. First, the MDC is opposed to Zimbabwe’s land democratization program. Defeating the government’s plans to expropriate the land of the former Rhodesian elite was one of the main impetuses for the party’s formation. Right through to the 2002 election campaign the party insisted on returning farms to the expropriated Rhodesian settlers. [7]
To the land outside of the consensus reality. The disasters that are Zimbabwe, Sudan and Somalia are brought to us by the same folks that have given us Iraq and so many other disasters. Those who resist Anglo-American Imperialism and do not submit will be attacked, financially or militarily, or both. Zimbabwe is a product of financial terrorism.
Zimbabwe is being attacked by the Globalist elite. Mugabe went ahead with land reforms to reverse ownership of whites who acquired land as a result of British colonial rule after Britain refused to honour their agreement. So they attacked the economy and tried to get a puppet installed in the elections.
"The ...... more important reason for the West's assault on Zimbabwe, is that the Zimbabwe government decided to take control of its land; of the land which remained the monopoly of a small racial monopoly from the days of British colonialism...... Yet, 19 years after independence, that land was still in the hands of British settlers. The colonial racial division of the land left the white farmers owning 65% of the best farmland of the country, while over 9 million blacks were crowded on small, infertile, sandy plots, or were made landless and jobless.
Moreover, Tony Blair's Labour government decided to abrogate the pledge, which the previous government had made before independence ...., that they would fund a resettlement program, a land reform in Zimbabwe. Tony Blair's government unilaterally announced, that they had stopped funding the land reform and resettlement program in Zimbabwe.
The Zimbabwe government, therefore, was left with no choice, but to announce its own plan of land reclamation, at an accelerated pace..... And by the end of December 2001, over 360,000 families had been resettled on new land.......
[So]They imposed informal sanctions on the country, including attempts to prevent oil deliveries reaching Zimbabwe. We had gasoline queues, and closures of some factories, leaving thousands of people unemployed. They withheld spare parts for our machinery and aircraft bought in Britain, including parts for incubators and respirators for newborn babies.
Within Zimbabwe itself, Britain and its allies are trying to destabilize the elected Government of President Mugabe, in any way they can think of, in order to install a puppet government that will dance to their tune......
"The British-controlled operatives are singling out members of the British-backed Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) for brutal attacks, including the mutilation of bodies, and then blaming the attacks on the ruling Zanu-PF party of President Robert Mugabe.
According to the Zimbabwe Sunday Times June 1, top opposition MDC officials have been "working in cahoots with some Rhodesian elements to set up underground structures that are behind the anti-immigrant attacks in South Africa and the terror campaign in Zimbabwe." The Times reports that, "Although the MDC has been claiming that its supporters have fallen victim to political violence, top party officials are allegedly recruiting young Zimbabweans in South Africa who are being deployed to cause terror in Zimbabwe." The Times said that people are being recruited from universities in South Africa, and others are Zimbabwe National Army deserters and former policemen.
Zimbabwean sources report that the modus operandi for these forces, in Zimbabwe, is to have their operatives dress up in the regalia of the ruling Zanu-PF, and go out to commit an atrocity. They then alert the press that an atrocity has taken place. The press arrives on the scene, hearing witnesses saying that the attack was carried out by Zanu people."
Obviosuly, we do not want Africa to develop and consume the natural resources we have determined we shall need in the future.
