Y2011 New Year's Resolution: Stop Cheating Yourself

1. To myself. Stop cheating yourself- it is now or never.
2. To my dear   OEN authors (and myself included).   Stop cheating yourself- a loud fart   does nor mean that your   bowels are ready to move.
3. To the environmentalists. Stop cheating   yourself-people do eat people.
4. To the progressives. Stop cheating yourself- most of us are closer to the   nutcase rightists than we think.
5. To the   people who   think life is tough. Stop cheating yourself- imagine yourself a woman in Congo (courtesy of Walter Mosley's statement).
6. To the   people who think   we   here lost the Christian values. Stop cheating yourself- Jesus never came here. But we still have to   live here (courtesy of Mark Twain).
7. To   all the   unfortunate characters who claim to be "conservatives'. Stop cheating yourself- the only thing you preserve is ignorance.
8. To the pundits. Stop cheating yourself- we know what you are.
9. To those who claim to be "centrists'. Stop cheating yourself- the center cannot hold.
10. To my dear fellow- Jews. Stop cheating yourself- Jews aren't white. Says me, Victor Alekseev, the Russian anthropologist   and Walter Mosley, the writer ( see an interview with him in the Moment magazine, Sept.- Oct. 2010).
11.   To all the religious folks. Stop cheating yourself- religion is a good thing     only taken in moderation.
12.   To the gay people. Stop cheating yourself. Welcome to our common Hell of marriage.
13. To the black people. Stop cheating yourself. Obama had proven to   all of us that a black person can be as   sleazy a politician as a white person. Down there we are all the same.
14.   To women- feminists. Stop cheating yourself.   At least for a minute.
15. To my fellow- men.   Stop cheating   yourself- most of us are lousy lovers.
16. To children of all. Cheat, folks.   Cheat on exams. 90% of those exams are exercises in stupidity. Look   how we screwed up and cheat as much as   you can.   Stop   cheating   yourself-   you are honest until proven otherwise. Honor is not in passing the exams. Honor is   in knowing who you are and be content.

To all the ships at sea and all the ports of call.    SOS- save our souls. It is   time. The only way to save your   soul is to stop cheating thyself.   We are all in the same boat and there is no escape.   Our primary enemy is us. Our primary product now is waste.   Our primary    way to recovery is the Truth   as always.   The center will hold only if we all look each   other straight into the eye and   acknowledge   the one important thing- that the bell tolls for thee (courtesy of John Donn).
