People can't tolerate negative thinking,
They want to be upbeat,
While the country is sinking.
Eight hundred thousand homeless on the street;
But, bailout the banks, the insurance companies
And all the elite.
"We got to help out the middle class," we mutter;
The poor and the hungry
Can die in the gutter.
Homeowners foreclosed on,
Thousands out on their ass;
They give away our money, the rich get a pass.
It is a love fest, Lieberman is forgiven,
No such thing as principles -- it's a given.
It's all part of the game,
Liars and cheats, they are all the same.
